Beautifully packaged, stunning product, and arrived quickly. More than value for money, especially when compared to other tallow products (and this one is actually organic with no additional chemicals)! I use tallow for my face, and moved to this because the market is ruining tallow face products with chemicals; now they've caught on to it working and being better than expensive skin care.. Within 5 seconds of applying this to my face, it looked hydrated and airbrushed, it stayed on all day, face wasn't dry after washing it either. The moisture really does lock in, and I'm a man with a beard! Other tallow products work, but not like this. Perfect for adding drops of frankincense and apricot oil too. Thank you for this product, I'm truly happy.

Firstly: Yum! Cooking with Hunter & Gather Organic Beef Tallow has opened a new dimension of deliciousness! The scent is meaty - of course. The taste of my food is now more beefy too. My current favourite is to give potatoes a coating of beef tallow before roasting. I've recently added beef tallow to my cooking arsenal, replacing the beef drip I had been using. I now fluctuate between beef tallow and organic coconut oil. One of the advantages to beef tallow is the high smoke point - meaning the oil burns at a higher temperature. As a result, I'm super keen on trying the tallow to make popcorn with. This is on my list of things to experiment with. This is a good quality product!

I love this and I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve bought and used it. Before using tallow I had used butter or olive oil in the past and found they left my food quite oily, but this is amazing and I would say for example with scrambled eggs it gives a creamy texture rather than oily which I really enjoyed. Will definitely buy again, well worth the money!

Good quality and more refined, but still pricier than it feels I use beef tallow mainly for cooking, and the one I used to get from my local butcher had a very strong smell and flavour. I bought this hoping for something more refined and neutral. To be fair, this is clearly better rendered. It’s lighter in colour, more refined, and the taste and smell are noticeably milder than the butcher’s version. It cooks well and does exactly what you’d expect tallow to do. That said, the smell is still stronger than I would have hoped, especially given the price. At around £10 for a 300g jar, I was expecting it to be close to neutral, and it isn’t. It’s not unpleasant, just more noticeable than ideal. Overall, I do like it and it’s good quality, but I don’t think it fully justifies the price. I’d use it again if it were cheaper, but at this cost I’m not completely sold.

Lovely product. I made face cream with this and some essential oils and carrier oil. It is lovely. No smell so does not affect the creams smell and after whipping it up it was beautiful. I have used it on my face and hands and body and the results is a very moisturising cream and I know all the ingredients are natural. I used pure rose oil so it smells lovely and there is the benefits of rose.

Excellent product and will definitely order again

The fact that this is decent quality tallow wi tbh out having to travel miles to a shop that stocks it is ideal. I use it for seasoning cast iron pans and cooking with. Organic tallow or organic butter are the only fat I’ll cook with. No seed oils in this house! Taste and smell good. Lasts ages because a little goes a long way. The roast potatoes produced using this are amazing adds a nice taste and crisps them well
