Exceeds expectations!
Bought this camera system to replace my old system and after a month of use I have positive experiences. It took time to set up but got good customer service to get it working. No problems since and I can remote view through these. Great budget option!

Junk, waste of money
Didn't even last a year. After 9 months of decent operation it would no longer connect to any of the cameras. I'm goin back to Zosi, had 6 good years with the last system of theirs I had.

Easy setup
This was a lot easier to setup than I thought. The cameras connect to the base unit wirelessly - you don't need to pair each individual camera with your wifi and then add them to it, the unit has its own wifi that it uses. You really just have to plug in the base unit and each of the cameras, then hook up a monitor to the base unit (or pair it to the phone app) and you can control the settings. A lot of the individual "smart" cameras are harder. With these, as long as there's an outlet nearby all you have to do is plug it in and it shows up in the base unit interface. So far the performance appears to be good. The 1 TB drive it comes with should last for a couple months without issue (if not more). All in all it's a good setup with many cameras and good offline backup (and it doesn't require a monthly subscription, which is a huge deal to me - heck, I could use it fully offline if wanted).

Easy to Setup out of the Box, but lacks some settings/quality.
This Maisi 2.0 MP 8 Cam/Chan system is fairly easy to setup and is at a budget minded price with no subscription fees required for mobile viewing.Out of the box, all 8 cameras are already paired, just plug all the cameras in, plug the main box/receiver system, plug in a monitor/TV and power it on. Complete the short setup or skip it and the system should find all 8 cameras within a minute or so, and recording is already underway. The app for mobile viewing is called TSEYE. I would install it through the iStore or Google Play and avoid trying to use the QR code provided in the instructions as google says the link is not a trusted source. The TSEYE app is also pretty easy to setup, just make sure you plug the main receiver/system box into your router, and the app will locate the device and get you setup within a couple minutes.I have another very similar budget 8 channel 2.0 MP wireless cam system which I have had for about 4 years now. This Maisi is definitely easier to setup, but does have some shortcomings. For one, the cords on the camera power supplies are very short. They are about 5 ft long. The cords on my other older system are 22 ft long. The short cords will likely have you using more extension cords, and can make it quite difficult to fish the cord into an attic on low a pitched roof home/building. The camera/base/mounts are all plastic, so be cautious when screwing the bases down tight. The picture quality could be better, my older unit has much clearer images with supposedly the same 2.0 MP rating. My biggest complaint of all is that there is no automatic screen switching. You can not set up the screen to switch back and forth between cams 1-4 and cams 5-8. You have to manually select your viewing options. You can select any single camera, cams 1-4, cams 5-8, or 9x mode which will display all 8 cameras at once. This is a decent budget wireless 8 channel system that is fairly easy to set up. The kit comes with pretty much everything you need other than an HDMI/Monitor cable and extension cords.
