Nice concept, poor workmanship
I bought this for my dog after his elbow callous turned into a hygroma. Despite reading other reviews that said this product didn't stay up I decided to try it myself anyway. I needed something. The other reviews are correct. The pads don't stay in place. The elastic is too stretchy and the plastic piece used to adjust the length of the elastic doesn't hold its position. It allows for the elastic to slip through and become longer again. I tied a knot in the elastic just above the plastic piece to keep it from moving.I think a better design would be to have the elastic attached in two places on the pads and meet at one junction as it goes up the side. There isn't enough leverage from one piece of elastic on the pad to actually hold it in place on the leg.Use a different and stronger/thicker elastic so that it doesn't slip and slide through the plastic adjuster.

Itâs a good product, just not for Malamutes
Overall, this is a nice product, but it could use some tweaking. First, the leg tubes are great in terms of fabric - nice and fleecy which provide good cushioning for lying down. However, there is no flare at the top - the diameter at the top is the same as the bottom. This limits how high the cuff can be pulled up. Second, the elastic across the back is good in theory but not so good in execution. It is very, very stretchy. It also doesnât hold its adjustment and ends up slipping back to too long. Because of the stretchiness, its way too easy for the cuffs to slide down the leg.Now for the one size fits most part. Sadly, most does not include my 110-pound Malamute. While the measurements would appear to work, the reality is that my dog just has too much bone and fur going on in terms of leg circumference. I can barely get the cuff up to the elbow to cover her hygroma, and it wonât stay there for any length of time. Iâm going to look for another design that might work better - something where the outside of the cuff comes up higher than the inside. They do help in that they keep her elbow from hitting the pavement, but thatâs simply because the furry cuff is thick, so when she is lying on the ground, the thickness keeps her exposed elbow from hitting. I really need full coverage, though, because sheâs now licking it and has developed an infection. Because these cuffs arenât wide enough at the elbow, they slip below the hygroma, so sheâs still able to lick.Itâs a good cuff if youâre looking for padding and donât have a big dog with thick bones like my Malamutes. I could see this working really well for medium dogs or Labs. I could see this working for Huskies, because they have smaller overall bone structures. But Malamutes are just too thick for this particular cuff. Bummer.

Won't stay on
It was soft and fit well around the elbow. The strap to hold it on was elastic so it took our dog no time at all to pull it off.

Does not stay in place
The cuffs donât stay on his elbows. The elastic does not stay tight.
