AcuRite Sportsman’s Weather Station with Hunting and Fishing Activity Meter (00249)

This is the second one I've owned. The first died because of battery corrosion and it was also 10 years old. Great product and long lasting.

Nice quality instrument

For hunting, fishing and every outdoor person this indoor outdoor thermometer is a must have especially for the advantage of displaying the best days of the month to hunt as well as fish.

The initial item I received was defective. The forecast and pressure history were not working. I sent many e-mails and did not get a response. I finally tracked down a phone number and got in touch with AcuRite and they sent me a replacement. They were very courteous and it was very easy to get the free replacement unit. (Everything should've been working after the 14 day learning period.) I will update after I have the new unit working for a while.One item I would like to comment on is that this unit is battery operated and if you have to change the batteries it has to go through another 14-day learning mode cycle. I would hope AcuRite fixes this by allowing it to remember what it had previosuly "learned". It already has an internal battery which stores the date and time - why can't it remember the rest?UPDATE: So the unit has been working for a while now and it seems to be working great. The forecast is not perfect, but is pretty close. Temperature, pressure & moon are right on.Wildlife activity meter is also working well. I find it to be more accurate than a regular solunar calendar. I'd say that this is a great buy for sportsmen - especially at the price. I'd definitely recommend it.Sorry for the delay on the update. Very accurate

I got it for my cabin. i love the weather snap shot it provides. The prediction is not 100%

We love this. Our first one lasted for several years. We keep one part on the front screened in porch and the other part on the end table in the house. It is very reliable temperature wise and we also enjoy the barometric pressure part. I would not hesitate to purchase this again.

I have done everything to recalibrate the product. It is totally inaccurate. Do not waste your money. I have returned this product 4 times. The last time they assured me it had been calibrated and even signed that it had been tested and signed off on. It is still incredibly inaccurate.
