Sparthos Knee Brace for Women & Men - Meniscus Tear Support - Beige-L

I purchased this as most do- to treat unbearable knee pain. I read the reviews about it being ill fitting- i have to say, I dont see it. The velcro wrap tabs do very well to hold the brace in place and having the stability of the metal arms on the sides had been a huge help. I have a torn meniscus - the knee would almost like "flop" out of place and lock up before I started wearing this brace - it has been a huge help with stability - i would recommend. Just make sure you measure to get the right size. I did and mine fits perfectly.

Removed 1 star as following their size chart provided a knee brace too large for me. It does work but straps and the padded wrap WAY over extends where these need to be affixed. So much so two of each literally can't be secured. I do find this helps relieve the pain in that knee area to prevent twisting. I'd return but this has helped a lot and hate to return it now.

I'd been using my husbands knee brace which was bought at our local wally marty. We take about the same size. Of course, the stores really don't have a good supply of different sizes, especially in larger ones. His brace is configured the same as my new one but feels to tight. I put this new brace on as soon as it arrived. Got busy cleaning house and realized, the brace wasn't slipping, wasn't too tight, felt comfortable, could bend and move around without worrying about my knee catching and causing me pain. Could have almost forgot I was wearing it. Even the material its made out of doesn't leave me as sweaty as my husbands brace. I plan on purchasing one for him. I think he will like it a lot better. The price is good too compaired to local stores.

I go to the Chiro Doctor for my back, so I spoke with him about my knee problem. He was very honest and told me he could get me a brace on my insurance, but he knows there would be a co-pay of about $100 because their issued braces, which ironically are just an upscale of this one, are over $350!! So, I came home and did my research. And after reading up on so many, then going to my fail-safe, Amazon, I ended up picking this one at a fraction of the price due to the ratings and reviews. I got mine in record time, typical Amazon Prime, and this brace is incredible. It basically has everything, including the knee bending hinge-type system on the two opposite sides, and it gives incredible support while allowing you to function normally, and the adjustments are so easy to custom size it right, it is a slam dunk. The knee hole allows you free movement of the kneecap as well as you walk or climb stairs a lot like I do. I love this brace, comfortable as well, and not too bulky, but if you wear skinny jeans and want wear it underneath, may not be such a great idea, but who am I to say! :o)))

I purchased this to support my right knee that has, as yet, an undermined sharp pain to the left of the patella. I bought it for use while I played Pickleball. I think it's going to work, and that's the major plus. Also it was a good price. On the down side the brace is bulky. Not as nice as my last brace, but the Velcro went on that prematurely. The Velcro on this one looks more substantial, but I have to put it on very carefully to avoid the Velcro straps from cutting into my flesh. Because it's so bulky I have to put it on quite tight for it to stay up. I think the lining could be improved to help support it. I chose the light color and wish I had pick black. The fleshy color looks like I was just release from a hospital. Since it's value was good I'll keep it and maybe update this review in the future. **UPDATE** I tried using this brace for an extended period (about the time for a single game of Pickleball). This brace has a design flaw and I have to send it back. I cannot figure a way to modify it. the straps that go around the back are made with very thin plastic or hard nylon. The Velcro is great, but the design forces the thin hard edge of the strap to painfully scrape the back of the knee when it's bent. I tried hard to adjust in some way that would work but failed. I'm giving it two stars because I believe it does provide the support for knee injury. Maybe the pictures would help. When Amazon posted that this product had a high return rate I should have listened.

After complex menisci tears, I was provided the elastic band knee brace which caused my ankles to swell as it was too tight. I purchased this one for support, but then was told by orthopedist to use it minimally for now as I strengthen the leg muscles to avoid the surgery. I'm glad to have it on hand though to use if/when I have any other incidents with either knee which impacts my mobility. It is a very good, adjustable and supportive knee brace.

I work construction and the brace gets in its own way if you have to bend your leg more than just walking if you have to squat or take a knee it bunches up on itself in the back actually hurting your knee more
