Super quiet, great breeze, easy to use, and even looks good
This review is for the "manual" model, not the upgraded. The last thing we want in the house are more wireless devices etc. I had previously purchased a rechargeable brushless fan, and was so impressed by the efficiency and almost total silence of it, i decided to investigate a corded model to replace our noisy, yet decent, Vornado. After much review checking it came to to either this one or the Dreo. Based on the and that the Dreo was not available in white i went with this one. I am sure they are both fine, but this is the one i chose. Now even though it is a little expensive, i was sort of expecting something that worked, but was the usual flimsy Chinese dime-store stuff. However i must say it looks really nice, and although it is plastic (ABS) the unit has a decent feel and heft to it. The white is a shade between egg shell and cream, and works very well. The control panel is nicely engineered and the LCD is clear and not overbearing. The remote is just OK, it could do with some improvement. If it was not round, it would be easier to hit the right button in the dark. Sound. It is really quiet. I have excellent hearing and do not like noise very much, same with my wife. From speeds 1-3 you cannot here it at all 10 ft away. Only the very slight sound of the DC motor when oscillating, and i mean very slight, it is inaudible to most people at that range. The Vornado sounds like an idling turbine even on the lowest setting, very annoying to sleep with. At level 3, 10ft away the only way i know the thing is actually on, is the breeze flowing over me. 10/10 for noise control. from 4-7 it is very quiet, lots of air and the quietest fan i have ever heard. 8 & 9 there is obviously more noise, the sheer amount of air moving will cause turbulence, there is no getting past wave theory... Air flow, goes from slight breeze, to better than a Vornado on full. 10/10. Given it uses a max of 22 watts (including the oscillating motor), this is really efficient. On the low settings it uses only 5 watts. Easy to clean, takes a few minutes. 9/10 Oscillation. 8/10 it works well, i like the ability to select the angle range, we particularly like 30 degrees. However it will only use the selected range if you activate it using the remote. If you touch the main panel button, it goes to 90 degrees regardless. You have to deactivate the oscillation, and restart from the remote to get what you want. Modes. 10/10 we do not use "turbo" seems unnecessary. Eco is fine, but in truth the low power draw of the unit anyway is sufficient for me. Sleep mode is excellent, and in fact we keep it in that mode permanently. Timer works as expected, no issues with it. I really like the fan, and in fact we ordered a second one. However there are a few things that could be done to improve it. 1) redesign the remote to make it easy to use in the dark, change the shape, or put a raised bump on it to be able to quickly orientate it (with sleepy hands). 2) there is nowhere to store the remote. The rechargeable one has a little dimple in the base to store the remote. Something like that would be a great addition. 3) The power cord could be longer, it would make placement more adaptable, without ugly extension cords. 4) provide a hook, or clip-on retainer for the power on the vertical column, this would both provide a more tidy appearance, and would prevent the cord and dc plug from being stressed or damaged by a careless user. A clip-on retainer in the same color would work well as it could be used on either column section, depending on how the fan is configured. 5) allow the oscillation angle mode to be retained when the power cord is removed. Right now it is lost and has to be reprogrammed. In brief, this is a good looking, highly functional fan, with only minor deficiencies. It deserves the 5 star rating. If you like quiet, and lots of air, this is a good fan to buy.

Great standing fan
I ordered this model by accident. I didn't realize that there were two different white models. I really like it a lot. Before this I ordered a Dreo model, but Amazon sent me the wrong model. The Dreo was bigger and fancier, but I liked the Levoit better so I returned the Dreo. This fan is small but powerful. It's so quiet on 2/3 speeds. I am giving it to my daughter. I ended up ordering the Levoit fan I meant to order. I wanted the fan that had numbers instead of dots and built in programs like sleep and eco. I actually prefer the smaller size of this one to the new one which is larger like the Dreo. Both Levoit fans are very nice and quiet through speed 3 and help a lot with sleeping upstairs in the heat to add to the central air which doesn't completely cool the upstairs. I use the remote in bed, and I have a really hard time seeing how many dots were showing, which indicates speeds/oscillation degrees/timer settings. If this were the only model, I would have happily kept it!

Fan has a silent gentle mode, and very powerful.
This is an update to my original review after receiving my second fan. The fan is still 5-stars for now, but here are a few things to consider. It has 9 speeds, but there is a large gap between speeds 3 and 4. Speeds 1, 2, 3 are very slow and gentle and nearly identical with very low wattage used. Very efficient. The problem is that speed-4 jumps up to more than double the power of speed-3. This fan's power range skips over the power level of my old fan. The air flow is either below or way above my old 3-speed fan. For winter it's great, but I'm not sure about summer yet when I use a fan every day. With 9 speeds, I was sure that one of them would be similar to my old 3-speed fan which worked for 15-years, so this is a flaw in the new fan. Note: With speeds 1, 2, or 3, you could set the fan right near you and point it right at you and it will be a gentle breeze. But to get a gentle breeze with level-4, you would have to set the fan across the room maybe 20-feet away. Then, levels 4 through 9 increment gracefully for good control of air flow. Conclusion: There is a gap in the air flow selection. The other thing is that the remote control is not paired with the fan it came with, but to any Levoit fan apparently. If I have my 2 fans in the same room, and I turn one on, they both come on. I consider this a flaw. I will contact Levoit to see if there's a way to pair the remote with a particular fan. Original review: I am beyond impressed with this fan. It goes together in a few minutes without instructions. I shopped for a long time comparing and conversing with Rufus, and this fan is great. Within 10-minutes of receiving it, I ordered a second one. I'm giving my old fans to Goodwill. Level-1 is slow and silent, and that is what I wanted the most in a fan. Just a gentle breeze. Level-9 is very powerful and will blow your hair and other things in your house. If the web page tells you that the fan cannot be shipped to your address, try proceeding to checkout. It worked for me and I had it the next day. Here are the features that impress me the most... - The color is a beautiful white. - It's footprint is smaller than my old fans. - When I first turned it on, it started at the lowest power. Then if I turn it off and back on, it remembers the last setting. - According to my Kill-a-watt meter, it uses about 1-watt when idle. Here are my readings for Level - Watts, Amps 1 - 3, 0.07 2 - 3, 0.07 3 - 4, 0.07 4 - 9, 0.14 5 - 10, 0.15 6 - 12, 0.18 7 - 13, 0.19 8 - 15, 0.21 9 - 18, 0.25 Add 1-Watt for oscillation. Add 1-Watt for the display on. For comparison, your AC fan probably uses 35-watts at lowest power. - Any beeping sound when pressing buttons is barely audible, but you can mute it and then there is no beeping, and no lights on the display. - You can point it straight up, to stir up the air in the room. Maybe bring some warmer air down from the ceiling in the winter. - You can pulse the oscillation, then stop it when it's pointing exactly where you want it, like right at you. - The remote is small and round, but it's very easy to hold and press buttons with one hand. If you press the remote buttons while it's sitting on a table, it will not wobble. It's solid. Note: The one flaw in the fan is that the power levels 1, 2, and 3 are nearly identical. Then level-4 is double the power or more of level 3. See my chart above. Levels 1, 2, 3 are silent, then level-4 has a windy sound. In the summer, level-4 might work for me. I will let you know. The fan has many more functions. Good value. Hope this helped.

Great quiet fan with good value. Smaller fan so ideal for bedrooms / smaller spaces.
I spent hours researching what the most quiet fan is, as its really important to me because I hate loud fans. This one seemed to pop up the most and had some great reviews, and it does not disappoint. On low mode its nearly completely silent, on medium its pretty quiet..very tolerable. On high it makes a decent amount of noise but still not as bad as other fans. A lot of different modes and features. Only thing worth noting is that its a smaller fan, its perfect for a bedroom but for a large room it probably isnt ideal. If you want something for a bedroom its perfect, it also sits pretty low , even though you can angle it it seems like its more so designed if youre going to be sitting down or in bed. Great price too, good value and doesnt feel cheap. Base is very sturdy. Perfect fan if you want something for a bedroom and low noise is important to you.

Best in this value.
Very good fan. Best for multiple usages. I like the smart features where you can control from your phone. Easy to install. Good speed. Good movement for oscillations. Got it good deal.

Circulates air well, but needs remote storage
While I don't have any equipment to test all of the specifications shown, I'm very satisfied with this fan. At lower levels, it's so quiet, you'd be hard pressed to tell it's on from sound alone. It does need to be at about 3 to generate a more noticeable gust, otherwise it's scant more than the faintest breeze. However, even at it's highest levels, it's still quite a reasonable volume. I most frequently use the eco setting, which automatically chooses a fan speed based on the ambient temperature. I find it's relatively good at sensing the temperature and adjusting the airflow as needed. Even at the middle settings (5-7), I can feel the gust of air it generates from across the room (roughly 40-50 ft). Disassembling for cleaning is also extremely easy and straight forward. A single set screw and then the rest is twist apart by hand. I only have two minor gripes: 1. There really needs to be some storage option for the remote on the fan itself. Levoit's tower fan has a convenient storage slot for the remote, so why doesn't the pedestal fan? 2. The height could be taller. Rather than a telescoping rod, its only option for height adjustment is physically screwing on (or unscrewing and omitting) part of the stand. As such, there's no way to adjust height easily. In addition, even with the entire stand installed, it's pretty short. The height is advertised appropriately, so it's hard to fault it for that, however.

Surprisingly useful remote + great airflow (but not ideal for white noise)
I bought this Levoit standing fan about a year ago and still use it regularly. The biggest surprise was the remote. I didn’t think I’d care about it, but it’s genuinely useful—especially at night or when I don’t want to get up to adjust settings. I use this fan a lot for hot flashes, and being able to quickly change the speed or turn it on/off without moving is a big plus. Airflow is strong for the size, and the oscillation helps circulate air across the whole room instead of just one spot. It does a good job cooling things down without needing to crank it to max. One downside: if you’re looking for white noise, this probably isn’t the best option at lower speeds. It’s fairly quiet, but not in that consistent “fan noise” way some people want for sleeping. Overall, I’m really happy with it and would buy it again—just depends on whether you want airflow or sound.

Best fan I ever had!
It’s insanely quiet, powerful, and effective. The remote is responsive. Better than every Vornado I’ve ever used. Strongly recommend.
