I got this for my mom to use when babysitting my nephews — and they absolutely love it. They’re now full of dinosaur facts, engaged in hands-on STEM learning, and spending hours exploring this mix of classroom, playground, and Dinotopia.The VR experience is smooth and immersive, and the content really holds their attention. I also appreciate the cross-compatibility — it works with both Android and Apple devices and fits at least four different phone sizes we’ve tested. It’s even fun for adults! I couldn’t resist checking out the augmented reality and trying a few of the experiments myself.Highly recommend for curious young minds.

Not as interactive as advertised. You can spin in a circle but dont control any actual games or activities. Also it advertises for different experiences such as a roller coaster, but weve not found that. The best part was the t-rex chase but again it was just a recording, everything else seems to just be facts and nit fun experiences or adventures. The app also keeps freezing up. Disappointed in the product and experience, especially given the price.

This set is for children who like dinosaurs and science experiments. It has various activities revolving around both of those topics. It also has a technology related component which is VR/AR. I believe getting kids accustomed to emerging technologies is key to their interest, development, and understanding of said technologies. This kit requires a dedicated smartphone to use those technologies. The required apps are relatively large due to containing the multiple VR experiences. It requires that device the entire time the child is using the headset, as expected. This does not included an all in one VR device at this cost. It is essentially lenses that your phone slides in front of. Which works for kids this age. I think this is a great set of activities with a wide range of variation. The added technology introduction is a huge benefit.
