Karrimor Summit Mens Leather Walking Shoes

I have bought Karrimor shoes and boots many times before, and to be fair, they are very good value for money. Always comfortable and do the job. These shoes however are certainly the best from that range I have ever bought. I needed some good winter shoes for the walks into work and for the evening dog walks. They needed to be warm, waterproof, comfortable and preferably light. I have to say, they ticked all the boxes. They needed no wearing in at all. They are very warm, even in the minus 2 temperatures (currently), they are waterproof even in heavy rain, and they feel so light on your feet, you forget they are on. I love them and will certainly get more in the future .

Ten out of ten for delivery - speed and efficiency - and nine out of ten for the 'shoes' - hence four stars and not five. The trainers themselves are a perfect fit. My reservation is that they are secured with laces - no zips - and they are not slip-ons - something I knew when I ordered them but there seemed no alternative then at the price. I am also just a little suspicious about grip. Only time will tell, of course, about durability. Andrew Thomson

Surprised to realise I've had six years' wear out of these. They were a good fit from new, and remain comfortable now. Used every day in each winter, and on cold or wet days at other times of year - my default outdoor shoes when the weather isn't suitable for mesh trainers. Still a decent amount of tread left on the soles, but this is just with everyday use, I'm not a distance walker. A few frayed threads on some seams now, so as stocks in my size seem to be disappearing I've ordered another pair before they're all gone. Probably the best value I've had out of any shoe purchase in years.

I am happy with these shoes. They fit me well and are good value.

I bought a pair of these in September 2025 and used them as a pair that I reserved for fairly short walks and day-to-day use rather than as my main walking shoes. They lost what water-proofing they had, fairly quickly. By June 2026 I had holes in the toes which is well below par in my view, particularly considering the price.

It can definitely be said that the Karrimor Summit Leather Hiking Shoes are very comfortable, and durable. I have used them as everyday shoes, and for light to medium hiking up in the Eifel mountains and in the NRW areas. They are great suitable for a 5-30km walk without any issues, and comfortable enough that you do not need to change the for the drive home, and are a nice smart style that you can wear them for a night out on the town with family or friends.
