We already had one of these padlocks on our shed, and a keylock (different brand) on our gate.We have now purchased another Squire padlock, with 4-digit combination, to go on the gate as the keylock was going rusty!Can't recommend these enough, they are extremely durable in all weathers and just work a treat! :-)

Sadly, due to increased crime in our area down to crack heads moving in, we've had to take to locking our back gates at night. Instead of a padlock where we had to remember to take a key, I wanted one with a code and this one is perfect, it's not foolproof obviously, but it's just that little bit more peace of mind where the gates can't just be opened easily, would make someone in a hurry move on to the next one!Easy to set the code, easy to use, great value for your money, would recommend when you want that little bit more security.

One of the few 5 number combination locks on the market.Solidly built though possibly a bit cumbersome.One down side - the screw you need to loosen to change the number was extremely stiff and hard to remove. Which was ironic as the instructions have a warning not to screw it in too tightly.

Bought this for an outside wooden side door to our garden. The sliding bolt is located quite high and the previous combination padlock had only a short shaft. This made it fiddly to manoeuvre and the numbers difficult to see. This padlock, with a longer lock shaft, is much easier to manoeuvre and to see the combination numbers. These are clear and visible and it's easy to rotate the four combination numbers and align them to open.I found it a bit fiddly to set the security number on the padlock but you only have to do it once. A quality product that seems very durable.

My own fault I suppose but it’s not big and I find the dials fiddly. Should have gone for a bigger one I suppose. But lock works well and does the job.

This is the second of these that I have used, the first lasted a few years, but stopped working after being dropped - not from a great height! The second has lasted just 3 months, again after being dropped, and - to their credit - Amazon have given me a full refund as the product claims to have a 10 year guarantee. A good quality padlock should be able to survive being dropped from a height of less than a metre without becoming unusable, such accidents are almost inevitable when being used outside, especially in the dark and rain. There was no sign of any outward defect but it just refuses to click shut. The original padlock was also becomimg difficult to use after being exposed to rain, even though it was in a very sheltered position.

Used by a young traveller in South America for the sole purpose of padlocking the travel bag/ruck sack to the walls in hostels. Easy to set the code and proved itself as the traveller returned with the bag intact ! Large loop made it easy to hook around the hooks.
