My son has just moved into his first home and didn’t have any tools so I bought him this toolbox, he was really pleased with it. The box is very sturdy and the tools don’t fall out of their spaces. There is a really good selection of tools in this box, perfect for tool newbies.

Bought this for my daughter in her first house, and she's very pleased with it. It has everything you could need in it - even a craft knife, which is missing from most kits. It's very cleverly packed into a surprisingly small case, that locks nice an firmly.But when I came to use it, I discovered that what looks like a pair of pliers, isn't. It's actually a 'joint slip pliers' - whatever that is. This might be very useful for gripping a nut or tubing firmly, but it simply doesn't do the thing you mostly want a pair of pliers to do (grip or turn things, or hold them steady). It doesn't just do these things badly, it doesn't do them at all. You really shouldn't have to spend so much on a basic set of tools, only to end up having to beg a pair of pliers from your daughter's next-door-neighbours...

I tend to wait on writing reviews on purchases for a few months because I like to see how the items hold up. I'm pleased to say that this has exceeded my expectations.I'm a middle aged female with lots of little DIY projects on the go because family life is ever changing and something is always breaking in this old house of mine! I didn't have a proper tool box, just a jumble of old random tools in a box and found that I was always muttering that I wish I had a spanner, screw driver etc. easily accessible. Well, now I do!This kit has had everything I've needed for all recent projects including: fix my leaking toilet, repair a fence panel, replace a door hinge, swap out picture frames, open my oven double glass for (for internal cleaning) open various kids battery boxes, swap a lamp plug, measure my driveway (for a delivery) put up a doorbell, hang a mirror, build a trundle bed and an ikea flat pack to list a few! I am telling you my projects so that people like minded will know what it's been used for in my review because my idea of robust might not be everyone else's idea of robust, but it's been really great for me. The tools feel strong and sturdy, do the job well, and there hasn't been any tool that I've needed that isn't in the kit.Overall I am very, very pleased with this purchase and plan on buying more of them as Xmas gifts.I can't fault the kit at all, my only challenge is the occasional 'where does this click back to?' as opening a tool makes it a different shape and I have to remember to revert them back to original shape before putting them away. That's just me though, LOL, that isn't the fault of the kit. They store beautifully. It's really a well thought out, beautifully designed, sturdy set of quality tools. 10 out of 10 from me. Meg D

Really impressed with this little kit, my Dad had a Stanley one but they're pricey and this was a bargain on Black Friday and so far the tools have done everything I've needed to do with the option of more... I'm not a big DIY'er but these are good for when needs must.

The tape measure is broken as it would not retract after measuring for a carpet on the first use of it. It would suggest poor quality. We have not used the other contents yet and hope they are of better quality. We do appreciate that this is not the most expensive set of tools but hoped it would suit for purpose. We are quite disappointed.
