Interesting wire. I am a wire geek. I like to have the perfect wire for any given application. In this case I was looking for GXL crosslinked wire for a car restoration. Silicon jacketed wire is nice to use but it's insulation get cut too easily. This wire isn't as thin as GXL or TXL so it occupies more space. But it is very flexible and more cut resistant than silicon. It's best attribute is the copper itself. Bright red copper and is on the thick side of its gauge. Quality wire for the right application.

Great quality wire! Wish you offered other gauges. I dont mind paying a bit more but in smaller lengths like this. Shopping for wire on Amazon is a total joke when the search sticks in sponsored listing into your searches or constantly return CCA wire or floppy silicone. Probably going to buy other gauges elsewhere.

The wire bundle I received had an even oily coating. I removed it with a mineral spirits and then isopropyl alcohol rinse. I couldn't find any specification on the insulation, but it handles very similar to PVC but slightly more flexible. I'm happy with this wire bundle because I wanted several colors of 16 awg and don't have room to store a bunch of spools.

The wire itself seems ok but this packaging is absolutely awful. Who thought it would be a good idea to roll all the different colors of wire together? Edit: good customer service, they took care of the issue.
