Pretty cool little tool 👍🔧
I love the compound leverage of sog multitools. The powerpint is an awesome edc multitool. Would i recommend it for work? Probably not it's to small. But i guess it depends on the work you do. It has awesome features like the bit holder in the bottom of the pliers. Now I did file down the bottle opener into a flathead screwdriver because that's what it was lacking. It does have a flat screwdriver but its small. The tool does seem very sturdy and for the price it's decent but there are more bigger heavier duty tools out there for around the same price. Some things that I like about the pliers are that they're magnetic and can be used as a third hand for soldering or as a soft clamp. They also have a ton of grip and because of the compound leverage they're like twice as strong as any other pliers this size. I've cut a few wires so far (coat hanger wire, solid copper wire) and they've held up to my testing. And so many tools for such a small multitool, the file is pretty dam good and it's 3 sided! I would recommend this to anyone. It's a great little thing to have around the house for when you need a tool for simple things.

Pocket sized and customizable
Better than I expected! So I’m a knife guy and I make knives from time to time too. I also love multi tools. I have been buying and using multi tools for most of my life. This is my first SOG though. I held back for a while because of the steel they choose it’s not great for knives but it’s adequate with a really good heat treatment and it seems SOG got the most they could out of this cheaper steel. I think first I should list what I like and then the drawbacks. Pros: Good tool selection Nice pliers Light weight Compact for EDC Good value Seems tough and durable Rust resistant Cool looks All outside accessible tools! Except pliers Very easy to work it I like the options for color Cons: Not very wear resistant blade steel Lock mechanism takes time to get used to Knives didn’t come that sharp but I fixed that Some tools stick to each other Gritty action on the tools for the first week The bottle opener isn’t useful as a flat head unless you file off the little nail nick on the tip. Ultimately it’s worth the money and will be in my pocket a lot going forward. I recommend sharpening the knives when you get it and to add more functionality you can remove the nail tab from the bottle opener to get a flat head driver out of it. Also you can sharpen the tip of the cord/strap cutting hook to make it a nice package opener too. I also recommend oiling it when you get it to help it beak in good. Nice little pocket friendly tool!

Size Matters
The more I use this tool the more I like it. I carry a multi-tool everyday and the SOG Powepint is becoming my go-to edc. The pliers are really smooth and the gears really do create more cutting power with less strength applied to the handles. The inner tools are not as quality as my more premium multi tools but I've come to appreciate their simplicity and ruff ness. They don't deploy smooth and can be a pain just to get one tool out without all the rest of the tools coming out but it's not hard to do and anyone who says it is hasn't owned a premium multi tool because some of my most expensive multi-tools can be difficult to deploy the inner tools no matter the brand. It just takes time to break in and once you understand how the tool works it's really not a problem at all. The size is the main selling point and it really is perfect for what I need. Im not a tradesman but I do have a big yard and I'm constantly fixing stuff around the house. I also need tools in a pinch when I'm out and about and I find this tool can handle minor small task just as well as my full size multi tools without the size or weight in my pocket. I even carry this tool with joggers no problem. Obviously if I know imma do a big job I'll pack accordingly but just throwing a tool in my pocket just incase I find myself reaching for the powepint and I'm confident it'll handle whatever life may throw at me on a day to day basis.

Excellent quality for the money
Absolutely love this thing. The tools come out easily and fold back just as simply. And I love the compact size without sacrificing usability and comfort. Before buying this pair I owned 2 separate pairs of Gerber truss and broke both at the pliers. This SOG multi-tool feels solid. I love the leverage gearing which allows for considerably more power. There is a spot behind the pliers between the handles which is great for grabbing soft-ish wire for bending/twisting. My biggest complaint with this set is the design of the scissors. Trying to use them in the cold proves painful and difficult due to the lack of a wider surface which the Gerber truss provided. You also have to apply sideways pressure in order to use the back half of the scissors. If using only the front half closest to the tip of the scissors, they cut fine. I also thought the pliers were goimg to be spring loaded, they are not. Not a deal breaker but does create a hassle when using on a bolt or nut. And the saw on it is a joke, I've seen bastard files with bigger teeth than the saw on this multi-tool. Tip: the tools can be folded back up without opening the pliers to use the lock release by raising another tool which opens the lock therefore allowing the tool being used to be folded back into place without using the lock release.

Crazy good deal
Dude, dude!! I personally do not like carrying around plier multitools. I love leatherman products but would never carry something that heavy around as an edc. This little guy is perfect. It’s not just a cheap option, this thing does everything a leatherman does and it does it for less than half of the most popular models. I love the texture, it unfolds smooth AF, the pliers work amazing, no play in any of the tools, and unlike most of the basic models for leatherman, every tool on this thing locks and is accessible from the closed position. Is also super small and crazy light and compact for a multitool. Also, having two screw drivers with the addition of being able to insert screwdriver bits while in the closed position is so unique and useful. The tools are easy to pull out but not too easy where you’re scared of them opening in your pocket. Great pocket clip, smooth deployment, and the two blades are screaming sharp. I was originally hesitant about the 5cr-alphabet soup steel, which is admittedly not the greatest for blades but they are absolutely insanely sharp and heat treated well. Amazing and seriously the best deal you can possibly have price wise.

Perfect with my Swiss Army knife Tinker
This is great every day carry and compliments my SAK Tinker perfectly! I love the 1/4 inch bit holder! I got bits and extensions in a separate order with it. The pliers are awesome! All of the blades and tools are easy to use. The tool itself looks great. Stainless steel is durable and will last.

Almost there, but no quite.
Have a bunch of Leatherman, even with the lightest Skeletool, I at times look for a smaller package for EDC, didn’t really want to combine a Knipex and SAK so decided to try the SOG PowerPint. The size of the unit is great, and the implements are fine, I like the action of the pliers a lot, as well as the built-in hex bit holder. But this tool has a lot of tool marks everywhere, the pliers, back of the individual tools. Once I reminded myself of the cost difference, I looked past those cosmetic issues. And after I fitted magnets to keep the PP closed, I thought most of the issues were gone. However, it could just be my sample; some of the implements are off in that I have to help guide them when retracting, particularly with the scissors. Speaking of the scissors, while I have no high expectations and certainly not comparing to the SAK, the PP’s scissors are simply terrible, it almost felt like the cutting surface is not ever so slightly finished, totally gritty. I wanted to like this so badly as the size and functionality are very close to what I am looking for, but I have to say no in the end as I simply don’t like having to guide the individual implements back to rest.

All in all. Good quality other than can opener
I hardly do reviews, much less 5 star ones but I thought I would on this multi tool. I have a Leatherman wave plus and a Gerber mp600. Both are heavy so I bought this. Size I perfect for EDC. Pocket clip is good and locking design works well. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the can opener. It doesn't work that well. Other than that I recommend and will probably buy another one.

Fantastic folding pliers.
The patented high torque pliers on these bad boys are fantastic and it has now displaced my Gerber Dime as my edc multi tool. I've assembled several flat pack furniture items with this tool alone, unpacked several deliveries and frequently use the pliers at work in commercial construction. And use the blade to process packaging and cardbord for disposal, Had to sharpen up the knife as it came fairly blunt but running it thru the kitchen sharpener worked a treat. I find it most comfortable to carry it under a belt loop kind of like a scout carry for a a fixed blade while its folded up. With the pocket clip over the belt loop. You almost forget its even there.

Terrible quality
Broken the instant I tried to tighten something. The jaws are secured with some kind of rivet and they popped. Terrible quality.
