Top notch, medium duty multitool.
Top notch multitool here. Compares directly against the Leatherman Juice. The SOG has better ergonomics, better tool layout, way easier to deploy the tools, and carries so easily. It's not as heavy duty as a Leatherman, but for medium duty tasks and quick, convenient stuff it's really hard to beat the SOG. It didn't replace my Wave or Skeletool in the collection, but it did kick everything out of rotation. That said, I wish it had a saw, the knife blade ducks like every other multitool knife, and I don't think I'll ever use the bit driver, but I'm glad it's there. One thing to note. You can not half open the pliers to like on a LM. If you're using the tools, you'll be gripping the square body of the frame. But it's extremely compact, roughly two bic lighters. Very happy, will definitely be purchasing again in the future.

The Best for Light Duty
I’ve carried this tool daily for almost a year and used it countless times. The size is perfect, not too big nor too small. The screwdriver bit holder is excellent. It has a magnet integrated into the socket and clamps down when you squeeze it. The tool doesn’t come with any bits. I ended up making a bit holder and sourcing a couple of philips and flatheads myself. It would be nice to have set of 4 common bits with a silicone or polymer holder either come with the tool or as an add-on. The pliers deploy smoothly as do the other tools. Most importantly the tools all lock in the open position and are easy to unlock when it comes time to close. The highlight of the tool is the pliers. The jaws form a tight enough mate to pull a single hair. When open, the grips are rounded off so they don’t cut your hand when squeezing tight. They are tough enough to pull staples from wood. The measuring tools (metric/imperial ruler & compass) are invaluable. The key ring tucks neatly out of the way and stays there. The pocket clip is perfectly sized to hold firmly to dress slack or jeans. Some tools can be challenging to extract. However, pulling the tool next to it to get it started does the trick. The small flat head isn’t the toughest as I have managed to bend it with a moderate amount of force. So, keep in mind it is a light to moderate duty tool. Lastly it has developed spots of light surface rust. Overall, it is a great tool with great value and I will buy it again.

Very decent small-sized multitool, but not the absolute best.
This tool is a lot better than I expected it to be. The plier jaws use SOG's compound leverage mechanism, which means they don't open quite as wide as pliers of comparable size, but they easily grip at least 2x tighter, maybe more. It has the standard array of tools, all of which are accessible when the tool is in the closed position, which for me is a big plus. The knife blades are decent, a bit on the small side, but not as nice as what you'd get in a Victorinox SAK (Maybe this is an unfair comparison, but I love Victorinox SAKs). The scissors are nicer than I was expecting. They can cut paper, stray shirt threads, even trim fingernails. This is generally how I view all of the tools in this multitool. They're all decent and functional, but not top-tier. None of them are garbage, but none of them are amazing. they're all just "pretty good", with one significant exception... My absolute favorite feature is the fact that, when the tool is in the closed position, you can grip a standard 1/4" screwdriver bit in the hinge mechanism. If you are unfamiliar, this is the type of bit used in standard/common exchangeable bit screw drivers (not the double ended type). This bit-grip mechanism works VERY well. I've been working in I.T. for 25 years. This little guy has been my backup screwdriver since the day I bought it. The knife blades (one straight edge, one serrated edge) are not bad. They can open Amazon boxes, envelopes, etc. I'd 100% call them "light duty" blades. This is a very compact tool, especially considering it's a pliers-based tool. It's more or less about as large as a standard swiss army knife (maybe very slightly wider), but it has a pocket clip, so it can live securely in the fifth pocket/zippo pocket of your pants. This little tool is quite easy to use and while it could be less expensive, I don't feel that it is overly expensive. If you already have a swiss army knife (or other small multitool) that you like to use, you do not need this tool. However, if you do not yet have a small multitool (Victorinox/Leatherman/etc.) this is one you should absolutely consider.

Pocket sized and customizable
Better than I expected! So I’m a knife guy and I make knives from time to time too. I also love multi tools. I have been buying and using multi tools for most of my life. This is my first SOG though. I held back for a while because of the steel they choose it’s not great for knives but it’s adequate with a really good heat treatment and it seems SOG got the most they could out of this cheaper steel. I think first I should list what I like and then the drawbacks. Pros: Good tool selection Nice pliers Light weight Compact for EDC Good value Seems tough and durable Rust resistant Cool looks All outside accessible tools! Except pliers Very easy to work it I like the options for color Cons: Not very wear resistant blade steel Lock mechanism takes time to get used to Knives didn’t come that sharp but I fixed that Some tools stick to each other Gritty action on the tools for the first week The bottle opener isn’t useful as a flat head unless you file off the little nail nick on the tip. Ultimately it’s worth the money and will be in my pocket a lot going forward. I recommend sharpening the knives when you get it and to add more functionality you can remove the nail tab from the bottle opener to get a flat head driver out of it. Also you can sharpen the tip of the cord/strap cutting hook to make it a nice package opener too. I also recommend oiling it when you get it to help it beak in good. Nice little pocket friendly tool!
