Amazing Little Laptop!
I bought this when my Windows laptop died and I'm so glad I did. This is perfect for me for what I need it for and the price was ideal, as Windows laptops are so expensive now. I check social media and watch YouTube videos and it works perfect for that. It's so easy to set up and lovely and lightweight and these guys are pretty resistant to viruses. Any apps you need you get them from the Play Store. However just be vigilant on what you download from there. It boots up in under 5 seconds and any updates are done automatically and quietly in the background, so no long updates that slow you down and take forever like Windows does. I love this little Chromebook and I doubt I would buy another Windows laptop again.

HP Chromebook 14” – A Solid and Affordable Choice
The HP Chromebook 14” is a great option for those looking for a budget-friendly laptop with reliable performance. It’s lightweight and sleek, making it easy to carry around, whether for school, work, or casual browsing. The 14-inch display is bright and clear, offering a good viewing experience for streaming and daily tasks. Performance-wise, it handles web browsing, document editing, and video streaming smoothly, thanks to Chrome OS’s efficiency. The battery life is impressive, lasting a full day on a single charge. However, since it relies on cloud storage and web-based apps, it may not be ideal for heavy software users. Overall, it’s a great pick for students or anyone needing a simple, fast, and affordable laptop for everyday tasks.

Perfect for someone new to tech
I'm 24, this is my first laptop, I've not had much experience with tech, so I can't really compare it to others, or comment on its abilities for a wider range of uses. For me though, I can say I do agree with others that this is almost like a phone, so it is perhaps limited in some ways but perfect for someone like me who doesn't need much out of it. It is fast and easy to use, when you first set it up it has instructions available on screen, I did not need them, but there are also YouTube videos that are very user friendly for anyone struggling. I find it to be very quiet I don't hear any crazy fans going off or anything annoying like that. The actual audio quality and volume are good too and easy to fiddle about with if you like. I use this mostly for note taking, writing on Google docs, researching, and sometimes watching lectures, and I find it perfect for this. I have also watched a few films on it and it has no trouble with that either, I don't know if every laptop has the brightness adjustment buttons on the keyboard or not but I like this feature as I can tone it down easily in the evening's before I wind down. It is small enough to be easily portable, lightweight, has a good feeling to the surface, looks great. I did drop it once and thought I'd may have damaged but it doesn't atall and has continued to work great as usual since so I would say it is fairly durable so far. Overall a great first laptop.

For £160 it's all the Chromebook I need.
A lightweight and I guess, entry level chromebook, with an acceptable screen and not the worst keyboard and trackpad I've ever used. Perfectly reasonable specs for the intended use case. Limited built in I/O I suppose, but that's not a dealbreaker. At 160 notes it's a banging little laptop and is my new daily driver. Update; Think we're a few months down the line now and it's still a wee cracker! What's it like?; The screen is fine, the keyboard is fine, the trackpad is fine, the speakers are fine, the limited I/O isn't an issue for portable use and you can whack a hub on if you want anyway. The battery is decent. Even with only 4GB of RAM, ChromeOS positively zips along on the Intel N100 just don't push it too hard or ask it to do too much at once and you shouldn't be disappointed. Overall; Honestly my expectations weren't high at £160 but for a daily use, web based app and streaming device it has surpassed whatever expectations I had and cemented itself as my go to grab and use device. Hook it up to a fast internet connection for best results. It even does a good job on XBox cloud gaming.
