pretty simply, its a hard drive tray. Works well, fits well, priced adequately.

Perfect for my Dell XPS 8950.

Although this might work for the main drive in the Dell XPS 8930 (I haven't tried it), it does not fit in for the extra drive bays, and and is not needed for these bays. Just needed to screw the caddy tray adapter into the brackets on the XPS 8930. I will note that I got the caddy tray from this same vendor and it works well. Also, the caddy includes short rods on the side that easily secure the disk drive (or caddy tray adaptor) without requiring screws. Seems to be a really solid vendor - they provided a refund for my purchase of this part.
