I have two of these timers. They work great, and the on/off switch works (unlike those on two useless smaller timers that I recently bought). The magnet is very strong. The timer is loud, and easy to read. There is nothing to dislike about this timer. They are large and heftier than the smaller timers but come without the aggravation of the smaller, less expensive timers I bought. Comes with a AAA battery wrapped in cellophane installed in the timer.Many months later: Both of these timers continue to work flawlessly. I definitely recommend these timers, not the cheaper smaller brands sold on Amazon.

I was in the market for a new digital timer as I'd decided to eat my previous analogue timer (it was very time consuming and I wasn't keen to go back for seconds) and stumbled across this on good old Amazon. It's well made, the screen is very clear, the magnet works well and it has a little stand. My actual use case was as part of a timed team building excersice at work and rather than using my iPhone I wanted something the teams could come to to check the time left themselves. This worked very well for that purpose. The alarm at the times up is loud also so no missing the end point. In the kitchen I can imagine it would work well also if you're needing to keep tabs on cooking times etc.If you're looking for basic functionality at a decent price then this is worth your time.

Great timer. Just stopped working after three months.
