'Faceless' is the third album from Godsmack and the follow up to their 2000 release 'Awake'. With the aid of veteran producer David Bottrill (Tool, King Crimson) and new drummer Shannon Larkin (formerly of Amen), Godsmack have evolved their sound of abrasive hard rock, whilst still retaining enough melody to get radio play. Includes the single 'Straight Out Of Line'. The UK pressing of this 2003 album includes two bonus tracks, 'Keep Away; (Live) & 'Awake' (Live). Review: Thanks u - Thanks u Review: Fantastic Sound! - I enjoyed reading other peoples reviews on this record and I would like to add whats already been said but please forgive my lack of vocabulary. Well, this is the first Godsmack album I have listened to and I loved it! what a fantastic sound! from the crunching guitars to the passion and anger in Sullys voice this was a very enjoyable listening experience. The best way I can describe the sound is like buildings falling down, riff heavy, explosive guitar sounds, thunderous drumming backed up by a passionate and super intense singer. I can understand the Metallica comparisons posted on here and there are similarities but I think that's a good thing and most musicians borrow sounds from earlier bands etc so I personnally do not have a problem with that. On the strength of this record I have pre-ordered the rest of the back catalogue so looking forward to hearing the rest of the abulms... but I digress. So if anyone out their in the world is reading this and thinking about buying this record I would whole heartedely recommend this album to you especially if you like Heavy rock/Metal/Metallica or just passionate angry music that provides an intense listening experience.

Faceless
From the very start, Godsmack sound more ferocious than ever with Sully delivering his vocals with an angry snarl. There’s a lot of Godsmack’s most memorable tracks on here: “Straight Out Of Line”, “Faceless”, “Make Me Believe”, “I Stand Alone”, “Re-Align”, and “Serenity”. It's a massive improvement on their previous album. I think the extra enjoyment is partially due to the drumming by Shannon Larkin who makes his Godsmack debut. The major downside to the album is that the sound can often sound a bit muddled.

fantastic
this album is amazing, still very grunge but with an extra bit of kick to it, something a bit more metal, this album feels like the album that metallica should have after re-load. the song writing is brilliant, big riffs mingle with very catchy rifs and every song has a chorus that will sit in your head for hours. overall a very impressive package and probably a good place to start.

the CD came to me with some scratches on it but after cleening with good old fairy liquid and a cleening cloth it worked fine apart from track 5 that cuts out half a word but i can live with that, the case was also slghtly damaged but i can tell if that was the sellers fault or the post offices fault but im not bothered, the product was delived on time and i love the songs, great price, FANS OF GODSMACK BUY!
