UPDATE: Customer service at its best. The seller got back to me immediately and shipped a replacement. The new bettery works perfectly and also arrived with all of the tools required to replace the battery as well as the track pad. The tools to replace the trackpad are a thoughtful addition because the trackpad gets damaged when original MacBook battery expands. Working great after a month. ORIGINAL: The battery arrived with all of the required tools and was easy to install. However, it isn’t holding any charge. Shows 100% charged but the MacBook turns off as soon as I disconnect power.

I purchased the battery, and the first one I received did not work properly. I went through Amazon for an exchange battery. The exchange battery (2nd battery) arrived quickly, and the second battery works perfectly. I'm very pleased. I have an early 2012 MacBook Pro. I didn't use the tiny booklet that came with the battery in order to learn how to change batteries. I went to Youtube and found several good videos, making it easy to make the change. I recommend watching a video before changing out the battery.

Works great, battery life so far is not “like new” but still so much better than my old one. I would recommend!

Less than two months and it's a paperweight. Bought this because actual Apple batteries for my laptop are no longer available. Price seemed good at 1/2 the price of my previous battery, but its swelling and dead already. It has swelled so much that my track pad is almost useless. Cheap Chinese junk.

I am so glad that all I needed to Bring my old MacBook back to life was a battery. So easy to change out the old one and pop this one in, specially with instructions and tools provided. Took one good charge and I feel like my computer is back to new quality. My wife uses that MacBook more often now and don't see her charging it as often as I use to. Standby time has been impressive. We sometimes forget to shutdown the computer and we'll come by weeks later to see it still has a good amount of charge left. You can't go wrong using this battery.

I have an older 2011 Macbook Pro. The battery was already so dated, it wouldn't hold a charge longer than an hour at best. As a developer, this makes it quite difficult to do any work. Sure, I can buy another MBP, but this little one still chugs really well and I felt that another batter might give it one last hurrah. The OS is from last year and won't be update-able except for patches, but to be honest, the dev tools are good-enough. The new battery was worth the money. I've maxed the RAM and the SSD is at 2TB. It's a little heavy so I removed the DVD drive (helps a little). But it's still easy enough to tote around locally. The battery returns the viability of portability to this little one. Worth it.

I bought this for my MacBook Pro in March 2020 and by Dec. 2020 it will not charge anymore. It did work well. Amazon says that it is not returnable at the point . I don't know what the warranty is on the battery but it's not worth buying if it won't even last 1 year.

No more than 3 - 4 hours on this new battery. Opened the lid on my MAC...nothing. Plugged it in and got computer running. Battery icon says "replace now." You have to be kidding me. Definitely not happy! P.S. Won't charge by the way.
