Traction, traction, traction!
Exceeded expectations. Northeast Ohio on the lake got walloped with snow and ice this week. I have been avoiding our usual 4-mile walk outside for fear of falling. Husband used these for the first time yesterday and could not believe how well they worked. I was jealous, & I had to try for myself. So today we ventured out, snow, ice, and temps in the single digits. It was actually fun to have the confidence to navigate the slippery streets and sidewalks. Pretty much, we kept our usual pace because we had Yaktrax on our shoes. We both agreed these are game-changers for this kind of weather. I was going to order a less expensive version, but the delivery date was not until March. I took a chance and splurged on these. So worth the extra money. Easy to put on and align on boots. Can't recommend enough.

Helps make winter weather tolerable
These are great!!!! Little tough to get on but I keep them on an old pair of shoes so always ready to go. May need to go up a size depending on type of shoe/boot you want to put them on. Pair I originally bought for my hubby were to small for his boot so kept them for my boots and got him the next size up and they worked perfectly. They stay in place and we can move about in the bad weather with ease.

Excellent but they brake sooner than expected
I think this is so far the very best , the issue that it gets rusty all the metal parts right away and then they brake , but while they are fine are the very best ever

So far so good
I used to use the $20 crampons that used springs. These are more than twice the price, but seem to be much more durable. There rubber parts are thicket and heavier and sit above the sole of the shoe with only metal hardware comtacting the ground. These fit tighter and don't seem to slip or scratch smooth floors like the cheaper ones. This makes it possible to keep them on during certain scenarios when you're going in and out to load and unload supplies. I've already gotten compliments on the slick look of these and coworkers have noticed that I can move faster without worrying about slipping on ice. Paired with army leggings, these work well and also look pretty cool.

Best option for walking on ice
These are the absolute best. Easy to use and provide great grip.

Worth the price!
These are amazing. They bite the ice without elevating your foot as much as other designs and won't catch and cause you to trip. They present a lot of gripping surface area to the ice. They are easy to put on and easy to store in a barn-style jacket pocket.

Amazing grip, natural stride
I wish I'd got some sooner! These are amazing, like walking on dry pavement when I'm on ice in the driveway or anywhere. I put them on one pair of boots and have left them on that pair. With our weather here in Minnesota, there are many times I've been grateful to have them. I wear them while putting out sand, shoveling, walking the dog. Speaking of walking the dog, my gait is normal - feels natural! Love them!

They rust. And they donโt honor warranty.
They do rust, even though the cables are (allegedly) stainless steel. The first signs of rust show up on the rivet heads, and then the diamond cut beads on the cables begin to rust. I get about one season's use (4 months) from a pair and then one of the rivets gives way. They DO work exceptionally well on snow, ice, concrete, etc. Just plan on buying a new pair every year. Sent in for warranty replacement with USPS tracking, no reply after 4 months. Contacted them on website, no reply. You should assume no warranty and just throw them away when they rust through. Lousy customer service!!

Good grip
Makes walking safer on the ice, was a struggle to get them on at first but once on they were no problem.

Safety. Tops. Don't waste your $$ on anything else.
Bought a smaller set for spouse last yr. She luved them. Before YakTrax, she felt very safe walking on icy sidewalks with dog. Tried her pair on my bigger boots one day & really felt safe. The smaller size stretched to fit size 10, but I figured the Larger size would be worthy investment. For the price, they are excellent. No brain or arm or wrist injuries this winter for certain. Update: right side wiring for the large loop let go today (2 months of waling every day on icy sidewalks) - galvanized wire rusted out even though I rinsed and dried the pair after every time I wore them). Big plus - Super easy to put on & take off (mere seconds, like 5 or 10 seconds per boot). Secind complaint is the claim of stainless steel. The inside of the rivets and wiring are galvanized steel (not stainless) and both started showing signs of rust shortly after first qeek of use. They will rust. Mine roje after (2 monthx) 75-80 km of dog walking.
