Pennington Contractors Grass Seed Mix Central 7 lb

Product is good. Grows in 7 days. Grows on packed dirt. A little expensive but the convenience of Amazon :) Reason for 4 stars instead of 5

For someone who doesn't have the time to sow grass seed in the defined proper manner this performs very well with my haphazard approach. I picked a predicted time of showers anticipated and it sprouted without further attention after spreading it where I wanted it to grow. Would recommend this seed for all those who don't have A lot of time. Though I'm sure folks will scoff at my improper sowing methods.

Do not buy this crap. Planted 3 1/2 weeks ago and none of it germinated. Seed has this green coating on it that I have never seen before on any seed. Time and energy wasted on this crap.

This is some really nice seed at a great price. I'm in zone 5 and needed something good for sun and shade both. I threw this seed down in some bare spots of my lawn just before a light snow about two weeks ago and threw down a little straw over them. I've already started to notice a good amount of new grass coming up! So far very pleased with the price and performance.

Very slow to grow and many areas it did not grow at all properly watered fertilize and drained so I don’t know what is going on I appear to be getting more weeds than grass
