Best portable loud speaker in its category. Under 200 pounds
This is the best speaker on the market for its price level. Always on sale arounf 140 to 160 quid. This is 140w of power and it is very loud. Great for outdoor party's or discos etc. Wouldn't use it indoors as it get so loud. I have this and a jbl charge 6. Best of bith worlds. Ive tried every portable speaker out there literally. This is hands down the best. There are obviously jbl boombox 2 and 3 etc but these are in the 300 pound range. For around 150 quid there isnt another speaker on the market than can match this qaulity and sound. The sounscore app is great too! The bass and clarity is good mid highs low all good too. Everyone compliments the speaker when they hear it. Ive taken it abroad multiple times camping etc. Its really tough too. Ignore the hate on it being a bit plastic. The build qauility is solid. My jbl charge 6 is the best speaker in the smaller handheld range. You can not get a better smaller speaker on the market of this size. All the bigger names bose etc dont beat it either.Always good to have both speakers

Great portable speaker to have!
Solid brand and material quality. Not too big, not heavy and definitely loud enough to surprise anyone especially on the bass front. Battery life is fantastic. Fast bt connection. Lighting is a nice touch with control and customisation. The sound can also be adjusted with an equaliser through the app. Definitely worth the price, especially when on sale.

Outstanding Sound That Just Keeps Getting Better
I've been thoroughly impressed with the Soundcore Anker Boom 2 Plus. Right out of the box it sounds good, but my biggest piece of advice is to give the drivers time to burn in. After a period of use, the sound really opens up, with improved clarity, deeper bass, and a more balanced overall presentation. It's definitely worth being patient, as the improvement over time is noticeable. The build quality is excellent. It feels robust, well-made, and designed to withstand regular use, while the battery life is outstanding. You can enjoy hours of playback without constantly worrying about recharging, making it ideal for parties, outdoor gatherings, or simply everyday listening. One of the standout features is the Soundcore app. Don't just stick with the default sound settings—take some time to experiment with the built-in equaliser. Whether you use the presets or create your own custom EQ, finding the right sound profile for your taste makes a huge difference. The time you invest in tweaking the EQ will definitely pay off.Overall, this is an exceptional Bluetooth speaker that delivers performance far beyond its price point. Excellent sound, premium build quality, fantastic battery life, and extensive sound customisation make it an easy recommendation.Buy it without hesitation—it's incredible value for money.

Incredible audio for the price
I received this little monster for my birthday as a convenient portable speaker for summer camping and whatnot. It's made from a resin-like high density plastic that gives the unit a genuinely solid and surprisingly heavy feel. The carry handle is molded into the body as a single piece so that ain't breaking anytime soon. Now to the sound....I'm a lifelong techno/house music type and wasn't expecting all that much, either in terms of fidelity or power, especially for less than £150 but boy was I wrong! The bass soundstage that this thing belts out is borderline mindblowing. This 'little' smart speaker must been at the steroids as it is able to generate actual 40Hz sub base! This is not something I thought I'd be contending with but it sits in those lows and it sits there comfortably with zero detectible audio distortions even at 80% volume.I didn't see the point of putting it on full volume given that it's maximum peaks out at 103 decibels and I don't want to annoy the neigbours...two streets away. The dedicated app is a breeze to install and gives you a surprising amount of control to both the audio and jazzy onboard RGB lights mounted in the ends of the passive sub. Oh yeah, it has a passive sub just built right on in there. For the money this thing has to be a solid 5/5.

Great
I’ve been using the Soundcore Anker Boom 2 Plus for a while now, and overall it’s a really impressive outdoor speaker. The sound quality is powerful and clear, with strong bass that you can actually feel—BassUp 2.0 makes a noticeable difference, especially for outdoor use. It gets very loud (140W) without distorting, which is perfect for gatherings, garden use, or the beach. The battery life is solid, easily lasting close to the advertised 20 hours depending on volume. Fast charging is a big plus, and the power bank feature is genuinely useful when you’re outdoors.I also like the IPX7 waterproof rating, which makes it stress-free around water, and the RGB lights add a fun vibe at night (though you can turn them off if you want to save battery). If I had to point out anything, it’s a bit bulky and heavy, so not the easiest to carry around for long distances—but that’s expected for the power it delivers.Overall, a great choice if you want loud, bass-heavy sound with durability for outdoor use. Definitely worth considering.

Fantastic Bluetooth Speaker
For the price, this is an excellent Bluetooth speaker. It's nice and punchy with the bass, and it's very clear with the Mid's / High's.I've bought a few speakers in the past and this one is by far the best I've had in terms of a portable unit, very impressed. My phone picked it up straight away, so it's very easy to use, it's also not too heavy either and seems very well built, versatile and it will last a long time. It has a silicone cover that covers the charging port on the back, so using it outside isn't going to be an issueVery easy to charge, can be plugged into any USB-C Charging plug (I used my Dell USB-C laptop charger and it was fine)The soundcore app has massively improved too, being able to adjust the EQ to my hearing profile is fantastic, and you can control the lighting with custom colours etcSoundcore have really upped their game, very impressed and would recommend.

Just buy it, you will not regret it!
Buy it... Just buy it.I bought it on a whim after seeing it on offer.I saw a few reviews and was intrigued.Honestly, for the price, the size and the sound it produces, you WILL NOT get better than this.A little fiddling with the EQ and it sounds better than a lot of similar items at more than 5 times the price.Buy it. You will not regret it.Also, the fact that it's so portable too, it's a no brainer.Best thing I've heard in a while.

Loud and bassy
As an owner of many such speakers I must say I am impressed with the soundVery loud and good bass, sounds a bit mid heavy compared to other speakers even with eq settingsThis speaker is made to play loudAlso a bit heavy but that's expected for the soundGood battery life alsoMy only gripe is I was sent a unit that had been returned, fair enough, but as another review stated, extremely unprofessional to advertise a product as new and it arrives with seal broken and a bit of tape to hold the box togetherStill, the price was right so or complaining reallyIt will blow away most speakers in its range 140 wattsWorks well on my bike 🤣🎶🔥

Very good for its price-point
First, a couple of qualifiers: My five-star review is heavily influenced by how much this costs and how impressed I am with it as a stand-alone unit. This is not necessarily a five-star product compared to other products that cost hundreds of dollars more than this, or are competing in otherwise entirely separate classes or categories. This is a five-star review of a $170 (at the time of purchase) boombox. You may be cross-shopping this with other products that cost more, or are otherwise higher-end or competing in different spaces, and I'm not attempting to suggest this is as good as, better, or worse than those. If I'm comparing to anything else, I'll note that in my review. Some background: I exist almost entirely in the JBL ecosystem. I have a JBL Xtreme, and a couple of JBL Charge speakers of differing generations. I've never not been happy with my JBL products, but I just spent a long weekend at a cabin with friends and took my JBL Xtreme speaker as portable sound. Not a complaint, necessarily, about the Xtreme, but when we got home and I was moving things around, it slipped out of my hand and landed on the tile floor, breaking some of the trim. Entirely cosmetic, but I decided I needed something more purpose designed for moving around, i.e. something with a handle. My immediate instinct was to look at the JBL Boombox. But wow is it expensive.I've dabbled in Anker/Soundcloud products before, and as much as I've wanted to love them, I just haven't. Most of them have been returned, because of audio issues, connectivity issues, or just general quality of construction problems. But this kept popping up in my searches, and people seemed to be happy with it. I figured maybe they've finally hit the mark. And at $80 less than listing price, I figured it was a pretty low risk gamble. I've been pretty happy so far with it.It's solid and feels sturdy. The sound quality, especially after you give it some time to break in, feels like it punches well above its weight. With the Bass-up feature turned on, it's very bassy, but not like Beats by Dre bass. It doesn't make the sound muddy. Just punchy.Compared to the JBL Xtreme, it definitely doesn't feel as high-end of construction. But it feels well put together. Some more premium materials-- like rubberized instead of hard plastics-- would be nice, but they probably don't affect the overall experience. One thing I will note is that the JBL sounds better inside, but the Soundcore sounds better outside. The JBL needs walls for its optimal sound. The Soundcore doesn't seem to rely as heavily on them. I can't compare it to the JBL Boombox, but that's also a lot more expensive, so I don't feel like that's a fair comparison. The custom EQ settings are fine, but I think it's fine using Soundcore's "signature" EQ setting for most music. The lights are fun, but I ultimately turned them off for battery longevity. I've not tested the water resistance, and don't plan to, but I'll trust them on their rating. I can't comment on the Auracast, as of now, but the party-mode from JBL has been pretty disappointing, so if it's at least as good as that, it's fine.Overall, this is exactly what I want for exactly what I need: a portable speaker for picnics, beach, cabin, etc. It's much louder than it deserves to be. At home, I've kept the outdoor volume around 40% to not annoy the neighbors. It's not the nicest, or most impressive, or sexiest rig out there. But I can confidently say it's a solid entry in the relatively inexpensive portable boombox market.

Assolutamente consigliata!
