I was nervous about the negative reviews, but found that all of the foil cutters in this price range had some negative reviews so I gambled, and could not be more satisfied. This thing works like a charm. I can only assume that others that had a bad experience received a different item or brand. What I got was a quality piece in nice hard plastic packaging and it cuts through the foil quickly and easily without making a mess, as some others had stated. Barely squeeze the sides, make a couple of twists back and forth, and it cleanly removes the foil cap in one piece. No struggles, no shreds. I don't think it would be possible for one to work better than this one. I am that pleased with it since I was previously using a knife to cut around the bottleneck. I have opened about a dozen bottles so far with no signs of wear or loose cutting wheels.

Works as expected. Do have to squeeze harder than other cutters of a similar design.

It gets the job done

Foil cutters lose their sharpness through usage. This is a perfect replacement.

PLEASE LISTEN TO THESE 1 STAR REVIEWS- totally agree with all that say it DOES NOT CUT !! unless I use a dishcloth or something to increase the squeeze and squeeze like heck. It's been a PIA the whole time I've kept it! I was wondering if it was just me, but all these reviews are the same- DON'T BUY THIS CUTTER ( The corkscrew is fine though)

I like how easy this tool is to use. If you only have wine a few times a month, it’ll serve you well. But, if you have wine a few times a week (or more), it just doesn’t hold up. I’m assuming it’s because the blades have dulled. Right now more times than not it won’t cut the foil cleanly for removal. I’m trying what is a more expensive tool (and which had a higher blade contact area), and which I’m hoping will be more long lasting. Worst case is I’ll buy a bunch of the very cheap Chinese-made foil cutters, and just throw them out every couple of months. Was expecting more with this because it’s a well known brand.

We bought many similar versions of this product from different brands in the past. But Rabbit is well worth the extra cost, they know their business. This wine bottle foil opener is the best one so far. The quality seemed dubious at first because the little wheels inside look like plastic extrusions and not wheels at all. The other brands were metal wheel cutters this one is more like rigid plastic bump outs where the wheels would be on others. But it works a million times better. Very easy to use. Would definitely buy this brand again in the future instead of cheap knockoffs

Funciona perfecto y súper fácil de usar.

It does the job - eventually - of cutting the foil around the top of a wine bottle, but you have to squeeze it hard to get it to work. My wife found it very hard and thought it was quite difficult, certainly not as effective as some types I have used. While the design is attractive, it actually works against the purpose of the cutter, meaning you cannot get all parts of the cutter against the top of the wine bottle at the same time - so it's a messy operation at best. Frankly there are better, more effective designs for this purpose out there.
