Walking Disaster: My Life Through Heaven and Hell

Not sure if I have accidentally bought a secondhand book cause it looked like it has walk through a disaster.. However, if you don’t care for the aesthetics, all is good.

The book is very good. I bought it as a gift for my husband and he is really enjoying it. We've seen the band in concert twice and I think I'm going to read it after he finishes. The problem was buying it on Amazon. First of all, the book came with other stuff in a box. Fortunately it was fine, but I think Amazon should ship books with their own box to prevent bending and breaking. Then, two days after purchase I saw that the price had dropped a lot even though I had bought it during the BF (at that time I had not yet received the book at home). I contacted Amazon customer service to explain what had happened and they said they would refund me the difference. I waited and contacted Amazon too many times after that but never received the difference. They seem to make fun of me because they always ask me the same questions. So, if you are thinking of buying the book, please do, but NOT FROM AMAZON.

As someone who has admired Deryck Whibley for over 20 years and has been following Sum 41 since the very beginning, this autobiography was an absolute must-read. The book offers an honest, raw, and insightful look into both the personal and professional challenges that Deryck has faced - and overcome - with remarkable resilience. Reading about his journey, from the early days of Sum 41 to the ups and downs of fame, addiction, and health issues, was both inspiring and eye-opening. It’s clear that his passion for music, combined with his inner strength, has been the driving force that helped him rebuild himself time and time again. His openness about the struggles he endured makes his story relatable and deeply human. This book only deepened my admiration for Deryck, not just as an artist but as a person. It’s rare to see someone so candidly reflect on their life, and it reminded me why I’ve supported his music for so long. If you’re a fan of Sum 41 or just looking for a compelling story about resilience, his story is a must-read!

J'ai adoré du début jusqu'à la .... presque fin Sans être un acharné du groupe, j'ai découvert des tas d'infos sur l'évolution du groupe et surtout sur ce qui peut se passer en dehors de la scène et des tensions qui peuvent y exister. Pas mal d'anecdotes amusantes et se lit très bien malgré que ce soit en anglais qui n'est pas ma langue natale Juste un peu dommage que la dernière partie du livre semble avoir été rapidement expédiée. A acheter sans hésistation pour les fans et même pour ceux qui s'intéressent à peu à la musique pop-punk rock

Étonné par la qualité de ce livre. Une belle couverture qui en fait un très bel objet à offrir pour les passionnés de SUM41
