Very impressive axe
A very well made heavy duty axe. It arrived sharp and ready to use. The head is straight and solidly mounted on the handle. The handle is straight on the grain and equally well made. It's absolutely comprable to axes that cost twice as much or more. It has been a excellent addition to my bush tools.

is that really a plastic wedge?
For $60 I don't think you can find a better deal.... especially when you take into consideration the fact that it is German steel and not Chinese. The quality of the handle is semi questionable and I think it is a plastic Wedge in there..... but the steel seems good.

This axe is like a woodman's axe or pack axe, not too big and not a full sized felling axe
Good value for money, this one was heavily discounted to me cause it was a return, blem, with some damage. Handle is good but room for improvement on the handle.
