OwlTree 2 Pack Motherboard 9 Pin USB 2.0 to Dual 9 Pin Extension Splitter

My motherboard only had two 9 pin USB ports and both were being used. The splitter helped me get another port so i could install my new network card and power the Bluetooth.

If you're doing any serious PC build with a bunch of fans, access to the USB header is a must. Cable is just long enough to get to the hub port and tuck the excess to the back or under the case just so most of the cables can be tucked away as well. Simple and functional, can't ask for more, and it's never hurts to have a spare for a future upgrade.

Needed just one more usb plug on my mother and this saved the day. Works exactly the way it needs to, no problems whatsoever, even after 6 months still running strong. Best part, it's a 2 pack. Great product, well put together, just plug it in and it works!

This splitter is lowkey useful if your motherboard is running out of USB 2.0 headers, especially for stuff like RGB hubs or AIO controllers, and build quality is actually solid with braided cable and decent shielding so no weird interference

I had an older motherboard that didn’t have enough USB ports and this worked amazing. Requires no real effort to install, connections are great and way to maintain. I highly recommend it.

It works for my application, but the description and Rufus AI were no help in understanding how this product is wired. The female connector that goes to the motherboard connects to 2 USB ports (USB0, USB1). USB0 goes to one of the male plugs and USB1 goes to the other, but you'll have to use an ohm meter to figure out which is which. Also, the male sides have 9 pins, but the single USB port from the motherboard is wired in parallel on both of the output rows. So on the male side, one plug is USB0, USB0 and the other is USB1, USB1. It would be helpful if the vendor marked which is which.

No issues found with this splitter. Plugged usb devices were smoothly recognized! 👍

I didn't know these even existed, never needed before but an older computer I was building for a project only had one port but the case had 2 sets. works perfectly and were pretty cheap too

I am assuming most people buying this knows what they need it for. I will give a brief explanation for the less experienced with PC building. This splitter does NOT give you extra USB ports. The function of this splitter is to allow multiple internal devices (RGB/fan controllers and devices like that) to use just 1 USB header on your motherboard. This splitter will take 1 header with 2 USB connections and split them to 2 headers with 1 USB connection on each. Internal USB devices generally only use 1 USB slot, but the standard USB header connector takes up both of of the header's USB connections. This allows the internal USB device to use the standard 8-pin plug (Yes, there are 9 on the board but 1 is dead. this is so you do not connect it backwards) to only use 1 of the 2 USB connections, and leave you with 1 more to connect a case USB port or whatever you like. Motherboard did not have enough USB headers for my fan set up, and this solved the problem quickly and cost-effectively.
