If you want to read the Bible and not get tangled up with chapters and verses, this is the version to get. The English used is perfect and you can read whole chunks without feeling you have lost the plot

I love this Bible. It is a large print, which I chose so that it would be easier to read at night when tired. There are lots of cross references and a useful concordance and dictionary, but not lots of distracting commentaries within the Bible text - for me I found this beneficial so that I was spending my time reading the Bible and not someone else's thoughts. The cover feels and sits like leather. The pages are thick enough that they withstand pencil highlighters and underlining without going through the page. It is relatively large in terms of carrying around so I generally use it at home.

I got this for my boyfriend for his birthday and he loves it!

I had to wait a little longer than one day sadly due to the snow we've had. But today the bible arrived. One thing I have noticed is that this tu-tone stuff is actually quite good, and the only let down is that they keep putting card instead of vinyl inside it, which makes it really stiff. Its not so bad in this, and because of its size is probably appropriate, however vinyl would have been better - then again so would goatskin! LOLThe design is beautiful, the binding has striations all down it, and it looks like a heated stamp has impressed onto it to crate the bird and leaf image. Considering the price, its mightily attractive. One thing, and its not only Tyndale, but it had a tiny, wimpy ribbon marker. That came straight out and I put two of my own in - ribbon markers are of great importance to me.Finally onto the text, we have ghosting, it really isn't that bad, doesn't affect reading one jot. The font is ?Lacona? Its very nice, and the HCSB folks would do well getting something like this. If you have the NLT study bible its a smaller version of that font - perfectly readable, in fact its more than I could of wanted. The pages are thick enough, and thin enough. Just about tight, the corners are rounded, the edges are silver, When R. L. Allan finally produces this in a super duper leather binding at £115 I will be quite tempted to get it. But right now this is perfectly useful, Its quite a pleasure to use.I give it four stars for minor niggles which overall all £15 bibles have.

Bought to replace a hard backed bible that was showing signs of wear and tear from going back and forth to church. This one is very sturdy and the zippered cover will help to protect it.

This is a great bible. I have been a Christian for over 40 years and have had a number of bibles over that time. I needed to update from NIV to NLT as our church has gone over to that translation and this works a treat. It is large print and yet fits a lot onto a page. It is quite thin and light and yet manages to contain a good number of cleverly organised reference systems from a concise concordance, to maps, to a limited but handy cross-reference. It lies flat and so is great for study or preaching from. The pages are not too thin and are sturdy. The cover is pleasant enough and soft so it sits in the hand well. If you want a study bible of the rigour and range of the NIV Study Bible this is not it. However, that weighs much more than this, is very thick and difficult to use for anything other than study at home.

Bought 5 bibles for my family, it is easily understood my children especially loves reading it. The only downside I find is that the writing are very small and the cover is flimsy, but apart from that I am happy with it.

Love this Bible! I looked for weeks for the perfect non-study bible- just one to bring to church for looking up scriptures- and there were attributes I was specifically looking for .... it's slim when it's closed, and when you open it, it opens nice and wide and lays quite flat. Love the pages, the red letters and the NLT translation! Love the simplicity of it. Its a simple and basic but very nice indeed! Highly recommended!
