Greenworks Pro 60V 3A Standard Charger

These batteries are expensive. This one seemed more reasonable. At 4 amps it hits the sweet spot of lasting a fairly long time and doesn't cost more than the tool itself. It works great and is OEM. I got freaked out reading about the potential for fires from knock-offs. Is this true? Am I gullible, and are the fire tales just to get me to buy OEM? I am concerned less about faulty batteries, but one that could burn down the house?..yeah, that freaks me out. What I really wish is that we could send back our OEM batteries, and for a reasonable fee, the manufacturer could replace the nonworking parts so we can get a refreshed battery at a lower price. BTW, I bought the battery because I left one of my mine outside and it rained. 2 things I learned. 1. Don't let these get wet. 2. maybe drink a few less beers while mowing so I remember things like putting a $$$ battery away.

Exact replacement for OEM charger. The charger for my Greenworks string trimmer died on me. It had acted up the previous summer season. I really thought I had reached the end of life for the battery, and that seemed reasonable having used it for over five years. With a little reasearch on line I changed my mind and felt that it was the charger and ordered a new one from Amazon. In the original charger you couldn't hear the cooling fan and the LED lights didn't indicat that the batter was being charged. I went ahead and bought a new battery so that I can extend the time in use and as a backup when the original one does finally quit.

Bought a combo pack lawn mower and string trimmer from Canadian Tire. The pack came with a 4Ah battery which works great but is heavy. This 2Ah battery is almost half the weight. Much nicer to string trim with. Plus now I can string trim while waiting to the 4Ah battery to charge.

Got the job done, charges the batteries pretty quick, and seems decent quality.

I am giving this a five star only because I know it worked because the light turned on but I had to return it because it was not compatible with my battery. That was my mistake and nothing to do with the actual charger quality or performance. However,iIt seems to be build well. Looks very sturdy.
