Not perfect ...but pretty darn good!
I used this to suction up the dust while coring a 2 inch hole through a cinder block wall with brick on the outside. The boring process involved driling a 1/2" pilot hole first and then using the 1/2" bit as a guide for a coring bit. I had my doubts about whether or not the attachment would adhere to a painted cinder block wall but it did. In my situation I had to hang the attachment from a hose running down to it rather than up but it seemed to have a good grip. If a person were working high on a wall with a heavy hose weighing it down he might have to support the hose. I used a standard ShopVac for suction power.I think on any smaller diameter holes a person would have no issues and it would suction the dust very well. Also, I think it would no doubt have a stronger bond on a drywall surface than cinder block but I'm not sure how well it would be able to maintain suction with a larger bit as there appears to be more 'leakage' after removing the interior seal to accomodate larger bits. I have not been able to try that as yet. The 2" hole I bored was with a wet coring bit and this attachment is not suitable for or designed for wet work. It does clean up nicely with a garden hose too.

Works great
I have only used it on a wood surface so far but it works. The suction holds it in place like it's supposed to. I have different vacuums that I hook up to tools like my chopsaw or sanders. The same cuff on the end of my hoses fit this without an adapter. It does come with one though. All my vacuums run in the 145-150 cfm range. It's worked great for me.

Very good drill dust collection attachment
What it is: Blue and black plastic and rubber drill dust collection attachment for a vacuum. Features brush opening (removable for large holes), 70mm drill/drill saw capacity, rubber gaskets, swivel vacuum head, rubber hose adapter, instructions. Why I like it: This is designed for masonry, brick, drywall, and concrete core and hammer drilling. It will clog if used for wood drilling, as the shavings are too large. The vacuum base does hold the unit to the wall really well (shop vac and battery powered vacuum compatible). It contains the dust and debris as designed. The only issue I had is that it doesn’t work with all common vacuum hoses—you may need to find a compatible adapter or modify the included one. It’s also on the larger side, so it may not work in all instances. Overall, it is an excellent addition to your tool kit!

Must have for plaster walls
I finally got tired of cleaning up the mess every time I drilled into my plaster walls. It's an old house with plaster and lathe construction so drilling even a small hole makes a big mess. I attach this to my vacuum and drill away - most of the dust is gone. It actually saves me a lot of time since the cleanup is super easy.

works great!
I used this while drilling about 50 holes in concrete for tapcons. It caught the vast majority of dust - especially the lighter stuff that seems to hang in the air after drilling concrete. I still had to sweep up some of the bigger pieces of spall afterwards, but there was by far less mess to clean up than without it. I think some of the small pieces it missed slipped out from behind it due to my uneven walls.I think this will also work well when drilling holes in drywall too.

Works great!
Works great. Used it in a finished room on drywall for hole and there was almost no cleanup. It stuck easy and stayed put, captured all the dust. Where has this been all my life. I usually use a shop vac and one hand the hose over my bits. This is a time and cleanup saver. Awesome product for drilling.

Great Idea
PROS: Good quality materials and seals, includes versatile adapter that will fit most vacuums, large enough to handle up to about a 2 3/4" diameter drill bit, keeps the bulk of the dust and debris away from the surrounding environment. CONS: Won't fit a standard 2"" or larger Shop Type Vacuum hose directly (you'll need to adapt further), may be too thick to fit into some tight quarters. Overall great idea and good value for any professional or handy person.

Makes drilling holes nice and clean
This is a nice addition when using the rotary hammer to attach things to brick walls. Normally I have to get out the broom after and sweep up but not when I use this. Recommended!
