Noctua NH-L12Sx77, Quiet High-Performance Low-Profile CPU Cooler

The Noctua NH-L12Sx77 ended up being exactly what I needed for my Fractal Design Terra. The fit is spot on—at 77mm it basically uses every bit of available clearance, and it honestly feels like it was designed specifically for this case. No awkward compromises or clearance issues, which is rare in SFF builds. Not only does it look great! What surprised me most is how well it cools. Even in a tight case like the Terra, temps stay controlled during gaming and normal workloads, and it does it quietly. Installation was straightforward, and the overall build quality is typical Noctua—solid and well thought out. Bottom line: In my setup, this cooler just works. Clean fit, strong cooling, and very quiet—exactly what you want in a compact build.

Used this in a SSF (Fractal Terra) Case. It was a perfect fit! Best CPU cooler for this case due to the fan being under the radiator. This setup eliminated the noise created from the fan being too close to the case grill/cover. Cooling is always a challenge with these Small Form Factor (SSF) builds but this thing does a nice job of cooling the CPU. If I had anything negative to say, it would be the price! It's Noctua. It's a beautiful piece of art but man do you pay for it!

Not cheap but high quality. Replaced the crummy stock cooler in my Lenovo Ideacenter PC that didn't even cover the CPU fully. Now it can suck down the wattage without throttling. Monitored it while rendering video to stress it, at over 100W it was still below 70C and it never throttled. This is with an I7 14700.

The Noctua NH-L12Sx77 is an excellent low-profile cooler and the absolute largest that will fit in my Fractal Terra case. It keeps my 9800X3D from thermal throttling with just a slight undervolt. For a small form factor build, this is a perfect balance of size and performance. The cooler was easy to install and came with all required hardware/thermal-paste.

It works great, but mine a scratched up surface, TIM smeared all over and nothing in the tube like it was used. I had to order TIM just to install it adding even more to the full price despite the use marks and empty bottle of thermal paste. Would dock more stars but it works great.

It keeps me PC cool. Uses little power not loud,and easy to install.

Too big for my computer but with a smaller ram, I could’ve fit it. I ended up going with a cheaper option but I regret it every day. I had plugged in my wife’s smaller ram with it and I loved it. Great company, I like all their products. It was quite easy to install, all in all, got the job done beautifully!

Provides more than adequate cooling in a Fractal Terra case while leaving room for a 4080 Super founders edition. Build quality is precise and elegant like any other Noctua cooler though a bit pricey. Only concession made during installation was placing the fan under the fin stack in a push configuration for GPU clearance reasons which in turn may cause RAM clearance issues if using taller sticks. If you aren't building a mini ITX system there are many other options but in a space restricted build this is quite possibly the best air cooler.

Ich nutze den Kühler in einem Fractal Design Terra, auf das die Höhe des Kühlers perfekt abgestimmt ist. Gekühlt wird ein 8500G auf einem Asus B850E-I Motherboard. Montage ist gewohnt einfach, Kühlleistung auch mit langsamem Lüfter völlig ausreichend. Zu beachten für die Nutzung im Terra ist, dass das nur passt, wenn die Trennwand im inneren so platziert ist, dass der Bereich für Mainboard und Kühler maximal groß ist. Es bleibt dann auf der anderen Seite nicht mehr sehr viel Platz für eine GPU

Stress tested a Ryzen 9 7900X for 10 minutes at an ambient 23C, and this little cooler kept it under 74C without the fan going in full gear, at a very decent noise level. The CPU temp sits around 40C on idle in silent mode. I use it at maximum height (fan on top) in a Asus AP201 micro-ATX case (with three fans for the air flow, but this case is made of mesh), so if you are looking to use it in a packed mini-ITX at the lower height, ymmv, but it is very impressive.
