Elgato Facecam Neo, Full HD Webcam with Privacy Shutter

Really good quality camera, plug and play, no Elgato software required. However if you DO install the software there are some added perks. Picture quality/camera resolution is much higher than the majority of laptop integrated cameras. Most applications have and "auto" brightness or white balance, but can be manually adjusted within the Elgato software. USB-C connectivity, OR add a USB C to A adapter (not included) for universal connection to any device. Small compact and lightweight. removable monitor clamp so you can add a threaded base/stand to it. If you want an all around good camera without breaking the bank, this is it. NO Mic, No Lights. This is the modern C920 without the MIC.

Been using this to start streaming soon. Doesn’t have good hd look out the box. Adjust it a bit and you’ll have a nice looking facecam. Will upgrade when I get the chance but for now, This is working perfectly well.

I have had this camera for 5 months and when I unplugged it from my laptop last week, the USB-C came completely apart with the cap getting stuck in my laptop. I rarely move my workstation and this should not have happened, especially after such a short window. The camera works well up until the plug breaks in half then it's worthless.

The webcam is pretty good: 1080p, 60 fps, great for streaming and conferencing, but my only gripe is that the right-side mount hinge is cracked, which is confusing because I just got the item, but it is a great product. I'll update maybe soon or later, but Elgato has to fix the plastic mount cracking for me to justify it being an overall amazing webcam.

The best camera I have had by far, love it. So clear with good sound too, my colleuges commented on how much better my video and sound is now.

I don't know exactly how, but I believe I was sent a used product. When it arrived (two days early), there was one of those perforated pull-tabs that had been removed and clear tape holding it together. Everything was in the box (I think). I plugged it into my computer and the image was okay, I could see little like blue fuzzy "noise" and I have a pretty decent amount of warm light. The biggest issue was the webcam would not update to the latest firmware and the troubleshooting made no sense. It told me to hold the small button on the bottom to reset... there is no small button and default settings and resetting using Elgato cam hub software (whatever it was called; deleted it out of annoyance) did nothing. It would just make the camera disconnect every time it failed to update firmeware and the indicator light would sit and blink until I physically unplugged the webcam. Look, if it works great; awesome. But I'm more disappointed in that I believe I was sent a used product when I bought new. Amazon did refund me but now I'm still waiting days for a new webcam. I went with a different brand. Elgato got a chance and if the software and troubleshooting are going to be an issue right out the box. It's a hard pass for me. Plug and Play my foot.

I just upgraded from a laptop to a dual monitor PC setup and needed a webcam for Twitch streaming. Being Elgato, I had high expectations however the price point had me a bit skeptical of what the quality would be. My last 20-something dollar camera was awful despite being a well known brand. Anyway, the quality of this camera is excellent! No complaints!

I even said "I hear a lot of these arrive with broken mounts" before I opened the box, but mine arrived cracked like many others I read about. It works well otherwise and I'll probably just live with it, but it's a bummer and I can't give it a higher rating due to that. Autofocus works ok. It's not super fast and it sort of "bounces" and then settles down when you first turn it on. Low lighting performance is good for a camera at this price point. The software is fine, and LUTs are neat. I like the privacy shutter, it slides easily. I also like that there's no mic. The USB C cable feels premium. I do wish it came in grey or black but that's just personal preference.

Kanske inte den bästa på marknaden men bra nog att vlogga framför, jag är kräsen men denna duger gott som webcam , jag saknar att kunna välja 25fps eller 50fps istället för 30 eller 60fps. Annars mer än helt okey.

Muy buena cámara HD. Sin micrófono (innecesario si utilizas un sistema externo de captación de audio). Algo grande para mí gusto pero con dos grandes ventajas: una tapa de privacidad física y una gran aplicación (camera hub) del fabricante que permite ajustar todos los parámetros de la cámara y que se trasladen a cualquier aplicación (por ejemplo Teams). En particular permite el control del zoom (para no mostrar todo el ángulo que graba, que es bastante amplio) y desactivar el autofocus, que puede marear un poco si te mueves mucho durante videoconferencia. Es mejor dejarlo fijo ya que en general no se desenfoca. La aplicación si que tiene algunos filtros de color que no se trasladan a Teams. Pero, salvo eso, ha sido una gran mejora de la anterior cámara (una Logitech c270). En definitiva, una muy buena cámara HD a 60fps (los 4K son innecesarios para software de videoconferencia como Teams ya que no los soporta) a un precio contenido, con buena óptica (aunque quizás un poco más de ruido de lo deseable, aunque admisible) y un gran software detrás compatible con Windows y MacOS Silicon.

This is by far the best budget webcam you can buy. 100% worth it.

I recently switched to a widescreen monitor, which meant I no longer needed to keep my MacBook open — but that also meant losing the built-in camera I used for meetings. After a bit of research, the Elgato Facecam Neo seemed like the best value for the price, and so far that appears to be true. The camera does its job very well and is definitely an upgrade over my MacBook’s built-in camera. I’ve noticed a couple of minor autofocus hiccups (maybe 2–3 times so far), but they were easy to fix by briefly bringing something close to the lens and letting it refocus. The software has also worked fine for me despite some reviews mentioning issues, although I’m only using it on macOS. Build quality seems solid, including the fixed cable, which feels flexible enough that I’m not worried about it wearing out in normal use. Lighting handling is decent, and for the price it’s hard to fault. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase and it fits my needs perfectly for mostly conferencing and meetings.
