Was replacing these with the older version of this brand, in a new house I just purchased as they were not working anymore, however, I am slightly surprised that the green light doesn’t stay lit, whereas the older version does. Not sure if that’s how it is now, I would’ve preferred the green light remain lit up as the older ones did.The batteries it came with work fine, not sure how long the batteries it came with will work since I just installed it, but I did buy a large pack of batteries either way, just in case. This product is a great value and an attractive looking detector. I originally bought the same brand to Just easily install on the old mounting, the older version was already installed on my wall, however, that one was so old it was yellow, but they are easy to install & very happy with my purchase

This Kidde smoke and carbon monoxide detector was very easy to set up and worked immediately with the included AA batteries. Have had less than 3 months and getting fault amber light. The battery shouldn't be low that fast. Removed battery reinstalled if it still alerts will change battery next..battery did come with detector, maybe was sent with bad battery UPDATE: I forgot to take into account I recently had some remodeling done and it was alot of dust created due to drywall sanding, I blew compressed air into detector everything has been copacetic ever since. So take your detector off when u know there will be a dusty environment

We replaced an older version with this and they were essentially the same model, so the platform was the same. We bought the older version about 15 years ago.

I am very dissatisfied with this smoke alarm because it’s only been close to a month and it has malfunctioned and keeps beeping and it was a waste of money spent on this product and I wish I could get a refund but I can’t!
