I've worn teva in a 38 which is a us 7 1/2. perfect fit! do i need a us 7 or an 8?

A 7 will probably fit fine. I wear a 10 and my old Tevas are size 9 and fit well. I just ordered a new pair in a 10, and they are a little big.

I wear a size 7.5 us. i see you can only order either size 7 or 8. would a size 8 be too big?

I wear a 10.5 and the 10 fit me perfectly.
