I need these for expensive electronic test equipment. In their infinite wisdom, the engineers who design high end dvms, like Fluke, have not seen fit to eliminate leaky alkaline batteries from their gear. Problem: these don’t always seem to work - the device says low battery, even though the battery voltage is actually slightly higher than an alkaline, 1.8V v. 1.65V. Is this the problem?

used these in my accurite weather station (installed in September 2022), and they performed wonderfully, even down to 12 degree temperatures and as high as near 100 degree temperatures in the summer. never died in almost 3 years. threw them away when my sensor finally died in june of 2025.you can't use other batteries in cold tempratures, and while these are more expensive, they do the job and do it perfectly. especially when temperatures dip below freezing.
