Works very well, sturdy design
Using it as a charging dock for under my night stand all ports work well. I like the power port on the back to make it just a charger. the included cord feels sturdy. The clamp is secure and doesn’t move around. Ordering another for my other nightstand.Highly recommend for others looking to clean up their cord collection.

mine has very good build quality. May buy a few more.
Mine has very good build quality. looks / feels like CNC aluminum I have used this to plug in USB NAS drives, USB IDE adapters, USE STATA adapters, phone chargers, head sets. My PC is hard to access. This was exactly what I need. It clamped to my desk frame and is quite secure. It seems to expand a bit for a thick mount and has rubber bumpers to aid in holding on and resist scratching. The provided usb cord seems high quality. I may buy another for my server. I am lazy, going to the back of the server / pc is annoying. My pic shows mine hung under the desk and a pic of the connectors in back. I am using both the date connector and the extra power input See orange USB cable as my extra power input for the device. Nothing complained about power, I just thought I would plug it in.FYI. I almost NEVER post a review so...

Awesome but needs longer cable!
This thing is awesome BUT... needs about another 6-12in (15-30cm) more on the cable length. There are too many devices made with short cables (my Jabra or Poly speaker phones, webcam, etc.) so something like this is PERFECT! Not to mention it is entirely too difficult to find a USB-C hub that isnt just a powered charger... not a proper USB-C data hub!The hub is very nicely made and feels like nice materials. The ports connect well and without errors. My issue is with the cable length, because I my computer is located to the right of my desk on a tall Elfa cart. When my desk is up, no issues. When my desk is down, the cable is pretty close to its limit.

EXCELLENT IDEA WON'T FIT ALL MONITORS
5 stars for a good idea and it works fine. My only problem is it won't fit on any of the 5 monitors I have in my office. I have it attached to a cart next to my desk and it works fine. I bought 2 of them. So 5 stars.

USBC version is even better
I have the previous version and it works well but the non-standard cord is worrisome. This one uses USBC standard for the data connector and the power input so either can be replaced if needed without having to worry about the device not working or worse burning up your usb port on the PC.

Good for easy access to usb but not reaching advertised speeds of 5gb
Product will not hit 5gb speeds like advertised, testing with my external nvme attached to the motherboard directly i can hit transfer speeds of over 1GB/s, attaching this hub i should be getting around 600MB/s but I am only getting around 300. This may be because of the cable or the dock but as shipped it is not hitting the 5gb speeds advertised. And before ppl try to hit me with the math 5gb or 5000mb × 8 = 625MB/s so I am getting around half that. As I said may be low quality cable or the hub is not the speeds advertised but 3 out of 5 because build is nice and works for my needs to have front panel usb cuz my case doesn't and it still hits 300MB/s and I still have ports on my motherboard if I need more speed
