Set-and-forget temperature logging
Out of the package, this left me a bit confused, but thankfully there are only two buttons on the logger. The included "instructions" give you a QR code for all of their different models. Out of the box, my device was configured at UTC+0, record every 10 minutes, and start recording after 30 minutes. Plugging the logger into my computer gave me a PDF with the results and a CSV file with the raw data. The software (available on the website) allows you to change some of the parameters such as the time zone, the rate of logging, and how quickly it starts to record. You can also add a name for the logger which will show up in the generated PDF. The accuracy seems decent; I changed the recording frequency to once every two minutes and I was able to chart the temperature of my fridge and see what the temperatures were and when the compressor kicked on to cool things down. This is handy for monitoring temperatures (such as making sure that food doesn't rise above the threshold where spoilage would become an issue), and by moving it around I can test different parts of my fridge and freezer to make sure there are no warm spots.

Look for something else
Instructions are confusing. The app crashes when you try to use it. Difficult to tell if it is working or off. Look for something else.

Works Well But Incredibly Hard to Setup
Lets start with the good: Once setup it works really well. The recording parameters are easily changed in the software. The PDF report works great with no need to even open the software to view it. The report is generated automatically and when you plug the unit into your computer it open just like a thumb driver where you can view the PDF report, A CSV file with all data in it and a calibration file. Now for the Bad: The instructions do not emphasize several key points. The unit MUST be configured before you use it. Make sure the Stop button is set to "Allow" and the option to restart needs to be set to "Allow" also. THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEM to remember is that the unit is set from the factory for a 30 minute start delay***** this means that it will look like it's not in record mode when you press the start button but it actually is. While in the "Start Delay" mode NOTHING WORKS!!! The 30 minutes has to elapse before the unit can be used PERIOD!!!!! Don't think the unit has locked up because it hasn't. There is an hourglass looking icon on it's display and the blue light will flash every 10 seconds while in the "Delay" mode. The 30 minute delay is important because it allows the logger to acclimate to the environment it is installed in prior to it starting to log. Otherwise the logger will show an out of range "HI" temperature in the reports. The software does not work well on Windows 11 but works fine on my Windows 10 Laptop. In Windows I have to start the software twice. the first time you start it it opens a Frigga window that's blank. This window can not be closed. You have to open the task manager and kill the process to get it to close. So, start the software... let the blank window open the start the software again. The second time it will open the software correctly and ask you to insert the logger so it can read it. Once you insert the logger Windows will try to open it as a thumb drive or it will ask you if you want to copy it's contents somewhere (in my case it's wanting to copy to dropbox). just close that window and the software will read the logger. The logger that was sent to me had a battery that basically was dead after the first 12 hour test I did. I installed a new battery and it is working well after a couple of 24 hour test so I assume the battery that was in it from the factory was already low. One last thing: there is an expiration date on the logger. I'm not sure what that means but I assume it will either not function after that date (three years away) or it will not be certified after that period. Who know?? After getting all the software to function on both my desktop and laptop computers, changing the battery and figuring out how to use this logger I'd probably buy it again but I have an Eltech that works well with a little less initial hassle. Time will tell.

Cannot be managed or configured without their proprietary Windows-only software.
I would not have bought this if I had realized that prior to purchase. Why not make a way to configure it that isn't dependent on one specific platform?

It works well. I wish it wasn't single use.
This is a very specific use device. Once activated, it will record temperature every 10 minutes and it will continue to do so until the memory is exhausted (about 14,400 records) - or until the battery runs out of power. The manufacturer says the memory will get full after 100 days of use. The device is compact enough to slide it inside a package to measure the temperature it is exposed to during transit. This is particularly useful when shipping foods or medicine that needs to be within certain temperature. The screen is visible. The information displayed is very clear. The screen has no illumination. When the USB port is plugged to a computer, it sees it as a memory stick. The recorded data is recorded there and can be copied when the test/trip has concluded. One caveat with this technology is that the device has an internal CR2450 battery, so shipping this requires an UN label for hazardous materials. This could delay the paperwork for shipping and make some couriers question your shipment.

Setup is impossible.
I gave up, I hoped that this would help track shipments in the cold weather, it's incredibly hard to set up the app, and I'll look for an easier to use device instead of trying to get this to work. The instructions are asking for a secondary device code on the back of the unit, and there is no such thing. Gave 1 star to be able to leave a comment. I wish I read the comments before buying.
