I had this mattress 5 years ago but had to get rid of it as I went travelling and couldn't store it. I have missed it ever since, nothing I've slept on compares, so I brought it again. Perfect firmness with perfect bounciness. You can't feel the springs at all, even when pushing down with your hand. None of that horrible spongy feeling either. Sheets fit really really tightly so they never crease up under you. If you sit on the edge of it often it will start to make an indent over the years, sit just make sure you sit deeper into it away from the edge

I bought one of these a few years ago for my son - he said it is one of the most comfortable mattresses he has ever slept on. It is still going strong and is still as firm and as comfortable as when new.So before Christmas I ordered another 2, for 2 extra beds required by family.The delivery man was brilliant, happily taking one mattress to another house even though we had not stipulated this on the order. Both mattresses in perfect condition and well wrapped.Still the same price as a few years ago (added bonus!) and I just cannot fault the item or the company. Excellent communication re delivery, too.This mattress is definitely firm, which we all much prefer. It is also very heavy! I could not get the thing up the stairs on my own - however I did not need to ask the driver as I had a strong son about - whether the driver would have helped, I do not know but he was so nice, I bet he would have done so!We think it is fantastic value for money and in fact better value than some overly expensive mattresses which are no better.EDIT December 2017 - Bought yet another of these this month as an old mattress (not one of this make) was on it's last legs. I can only repeat my earlier review - beautifully firm yet so comfortable and truly a great buy. If I won the lottery, I would still always keep this particular mattress! All my family (who also have the same item on their own beds) say they are the best they have slept on. Cannot say better that that!

The mattress is exactly as stated, good firm and comfy. It's quite noisy with the springs inside, but no worries if you're just sleeping on it (just no jumping with noise affected neighbours).Delivery.... Initially seemed good and on track. However, continual text messages to advise delivery was possible. Then it wasn't but promised next day. Then another text to say that hey could no longer find the item in the system (this is on 31st Dec) and would get back to me on Monday 4th to advise if they had found it. By then I had just enough and emailed to advise cancellation. The first email I received from 'Happy Beds' ignored my request to cancel and seemed like a generic 'out of office' response. However, 'Happy Beds' did email back on Monday to advise that the order had been cancelled. Great. I returned home from work just before 6pm to find a delivery van with the mattress waiting. I should have refused delivery, but I felt so awkward and felt obliged to take the mattress. I then sent an email to 'Happy Beds' advising (Mon eve). Wednesday mid-morning I have message asking me to call to arrange collection of the incorrectly delivered mattress. Great. Only problem was that I had taken my old mattress to the tip on the Tuesday so therefore, I would not have a bed to sleep on. 'Happy Beds' answer was to either remove the mattress or send 2 pillows as a way of apology. I agreed just to get it over with. Thursday eve a box arrived with the pillows.... Do not ever settle for that!In 'Happy Beds' defence they did inform me that they could not locate the stock after approx. 5 days after ordering. However, delivering the order after I said that I would be at work, was NOT ok. Also, how many delivery firms do you know that will sit and WAIT for you to turn up?.SO POINT BEING.... If you want a cheap priced & good quality mattress, go fill your boots with this company as you can't go wrong price wise. If though, you're expecting any kind on time delivery, I'd keep all available digits crossed!

I am so happy that I am writing this review one year after my purchase so you can see the satisfaction is genuine one year later. I am a heavy person and had back issues whit a cheap foam mattress. When I bought this it took me around a week to get used to the stiffness but believe me I have never had issues again. It really gives nice, good, resting nights and wake up refreshed. Is very tall and thick which makes it easier to lay down and stand up, is firm but still slightly bouncy but not stiff. It is not noisy and does not have any of those chemical smells. It looks and it is very well made and of good quality. Made with strong springs and good textiles. My child loves to come and play on my bed as the mattress is so comfy and on Sunday we love watching movies on it! It is lovely! It really worths and one year later nothing has changed. I would buy again a million times!! Only one thing to consider: it is very very heavy to carry upstairs and does not bend, my husband and I had to struggle to push it upstairs as our staircase has a low ceiling but once done I was really happy with it!

The mattress is very good which there is no doubt sbout. The only dissappointing is the lenght of the mattress. As advertised it meant to be a super double mattress, but by the time we put on the bed frame it turned out shorter in length. Before we chose the mattress we measured the bed frame a couple of times but it still came short.
