This bedside commode is very sturdy and wide - everything it claims to be. It was easy to assemble as long as you read the directions thoroughly and lay all parts out/identify before starting assembly. The bucket is not shallow as one report stated. The sturdy & deep bucket is collapsed for shipping and you simply push it out to expand it before sliding under seat frame. The height and width of chair is easily "push button" adjustable to suit any needs (bedside, shower, extra chair, etc.) The sturdy side arms help support my disabled mom while getting in & out of seat. I would recommend this item over any others due to its sturdiness, adaptability and ease in assembling.

For a heavy adult man or women it is very sturdy, no problem getting up or sitting down. And comfortable , fits almost anywhere you would need it.

I have to update my review because one of the chair’s legs bent. I tried to secure with tape but unsuccessful. It’s not safe to continue using it. It’s a waste of money. The chair is quite expensive for the bad quality. Also, the bucket was not holding well. It tilted backwards causing spillage on the floor. Very disappointed!

Had to put together 2 times - instructions not very clear! The bucket doesn't work real well. Over all it works well. Comfortable to sit on. Lightweight to move. Sturdy for person 330lbs.

This is very sturdy big size people chair.Wide enough for comfortable getting in and out.Great option that you can use as an showe chair. Assembly was ok,can be little more detailed. Soft cushion seat.

Never needed a pad under a chair for leakage. It’s a sturdy chair and not too difficult to assemble. But why does the seat causes leaks to the floor?

We actually use this up north while camping and it works phenomenonally well. We dig a hole in the ground and put this over top (without the bucket) so we don't have to squat. The set up directions are a little lacking but it wasn't horrible. After that there's nothing to do to use it. Just set it down where you want and away you go. It works great. Extremely sturdy even with the uneven ground. And very comfy to sit on.
