Ice Cream Maker Attachment for KitchenAid Stand Mixer

I have learned that knock off KA accessories are junk. They always fail at some point. The meat grinder fell apart on first use, returned and got the genuine KA. I I bought this ice cream maker to see if it was something we’d use. I’ve made 7 batches of ice cream or sorbet, and it’s ok but the blade assembly has weakened the last couple uses. This time I washed the bowl and put in drainer. Picked up and coolant poured out of the bottom. The bottom assembly is poorly made; it’s not designed to handle the torque of the KA mixer and I never used it over the lowest speed on the mixer. But only genuine KA accessories. These Chinese companies are worse than their shoddy products. They use KA IP and all these scoundrels need to be cracked down on. Amazon nor this company hive a crap about the garbage they sell.

This ice cream maker attachment works wonderfully with my KitchenAid mixer. The bowl freezes evenly, and the attachment churns ice cream smoothly to a creamy consistency. Setup was simple, and cleanup was easy after use. I've made several batches already, and the results have been consistently delicious. It's a great way to make homemade ice cream, frozen yogurt, and sorbet without needing a separate machine. Excellent value and highly recommended!

1 star is to generous. Don’t buy, followed instructions about freezing. First time it almost worked, but never got thick. Next time made a batch, put it in the back of my fridge, where things sometimes freeze. It worked until a thin coat of rock hard cream formed on the inside of the bowl. Then the, what the manufacturer calls the drive assembly and the dasher came apart, as it was mixing. The parts started binding in the bowl, and the cream mixture flew all over the place. Then trying to get it out of the bowl was ridiculous, like scrapping Mordar off bricks. On the sides only. The center was still pretty soft. I did try it again later with the same results. I Do not at all recommend. I would return it but I missed the deadline.

I LOVE my ice cream attachement. It fits well within my freezer, freezes the ice cream quickly and is easy to clean. I did have to read the instructions so that it fit my mixer appropriately, but it was worth the few minutes that took. I'm looking forward to using it more this summer. Just a heads up, it does need to be in the freezer for 24 hrs before you put an ice cream base into it.

Easy to use! It works perfectly with our 7 quart bowl-lift kitchenaid and makes delicious creamy ice cream every time! We keep ours in the freezer so it’s ready any time we want to make ice cream and it is way cheaper than buying a dedicated ice cream machine.

It’s a quality item and works great but making the ice cream is too time consuming and requires more room in your freezer than my small one has available. If you have a large freezer or an extra freezer and you have time, you could make lots of tubs of ice cream and freeze it for later but just to be able to enjoy some ice cream when you’re in the mood, you have to plan ahead and it’s not worth it to me.

3回目で壊れました。普通にアイスクリームを作って洗おうとしたら本体からはずれなくなりました。確認したところ亀裂が入って液体が漏れ出していました。 キッチンエイドのカスタマサービスに問い合わせして本体とアイスクリームのアタッチメントを外してもらえないかとお願いしましたが、他社製品なので対応して頂けませんでした。泣く泣く廃棄になりました。 キッチンエイド用とありますが、別メーカーなので自己責任で使用した方が良いです。
