A very excellent product - I love this stuff.
First let me say that I am not what you would call a vain person. I dress like a slob, or at least pay little attention to what I wear and leave it up to my wife to try to correct me when we go out to ‘fancy’ places. I drive the oldest car I can keep running and pretty much let the world go by. Other than taking care of my beard and bathing at least once per day...well, I just don’t care. That being said, I do feel if you are going to grow and wear a beard you might as well do it right. The other area is that I keep my dogs meticulously groomed and indeed, am vain as to their looks and condition. Dog grooming and beard grooming is not all that different....it takes time, dedication and attention to details.Anyway....The scent of this stuff is quite good and what little there is of it soon vanishes. Indeed, it has a slight licorice scent (Is it Fennel?). I rather like this scent. I love the way women smell but do not want to smell like one of them myself...but hey, that is just me. This scent will not be confused with the scent your granny wore, which was nice on her but I would not be comfortable with it on me. I should also be noted that the dogs do not mind the scent in the least. I once spilled deer musk on myself and had to beat the little critters off of me...not problem like that with this stuff.A bit of this stuff goes a long, long way and has an eye dropper type of dispenser. I use this product, along with a number of other products on my beard and must say I am impressed with the results. It keeps my beard soft and eases grooming concerns. It does not ‘build-up’ over time and a good daily scrubbing with soap and water removes what is left and you are ready for another application. All in all this is good stuff and I will continue to use it until and if I find a better product.

Good price and gets the job done.
Alright, I’m new to the bearding world but gonna add my two cents. I’ve had a goatee and mustache for like years... much of my life. But growing the sides In was impossible, and getting past an inch on the chin was annoying. This year I opted to grow it out. “Honest Amish” I came across on a bunch of videos of guys recommending it as a starter oil. However, I really like it. I’ve tried a few others, but really like how this oil works. I put it in, every other day about a 3/4 dropper and message it in well. It lasts all day and actually offers some hold. For me I just use one product at a time. It’s like a medium weight to me. The smell might not work for some men if they like a heavy cologne smell. I like natural smells and this has a woody/earthy/black licorice smell. I like black licorice and prefer more natural scents soo winner in my book. I’m at 3-4 inches off the chin for reference. The oil goes in well and doesn’t leave me feeling slimy so that’s a plus. The scent does go away by half day, so a plus if strong scents annoy you. I like as all natural as I can get so, I like this a lot. The price is also good if not great compared to some other brands. For just staring out, great if you like black licorice smell. Hold is good, smell to me is great, feeling in beard I like, and even with sensitive skin I have no problems. Besides the Amish have been bearding for like ever. Lol. Seriously, I’m not a beard expert but my plan is to keep using this oil. Why? Price, Availability, quantity, quality, and for me (that’s key as each face and man is different) this oil just plain works. I may have to get their balm later on when it gets longer. But for now just the oil every other day works best. Two thumbs up, can get it just about anywhere also. This stuff just plain works. I Recommend it.

Excellent Beard Oil
Highly recommend this product. Not too oily and moisturizes the skin under your beard. No flaking and a very good scent.

Great oil for a great price
I've been using this for about a month now, in conjunction with other beard care brands. I have to say that Honest Amish is one of few larger, more common brands I trust. I've tried some of the big names in the past and there is some real garbage out there... First of all, this oil comes in a 2 oz bottle. If you don't know the beard oil world very well, 1 oz bottles are the most typical. This is an absolute steal for the price. I easily pay $15-20 for 1 oz of some of the other oils that I love. Secondly, the smell really surprised me as far as how much I like it. It does have a slight smell of anise (black licorice-ish), but I wouldn't say it reeks like it. I don't even like eating black licorice, and I love the smell of this stuff. The smell is much smoother and pleasant than you might think. Lastly, this stuff works great, plain and simple. My beard feels soft afterward, and my skin feels moisturized. I will say this is a slightly thicker oil than others I've tried, which isn't a positive or negative, most likely a result of the carrier oils used. Overall, a great purchase. I'll always have a bottle of Honest Amish on hand, and will probably try their premium next time.

Incredible product, undesirable scent.
Let me start off by stating I've used grave before shave products for a very long time, I love the unique scents. Call it what you will but I enjoy the nice smell of a beard oil, it boosts my mood and gives me that 'boost' of confidence when I get wafts throughout the day. This product in itself is VERY good, it feels like a super premium oil, it is thicker, it feels incredible going on skin and the presentation is nice, the bottle is very large. My only complaint and why it lost a star was the smell. It smells like pine tar. I used to do manual outdoor labor for a living, however I got a STEM degree and work at home in my home office. My go-to has been Le Labo's beard oil or Aesop's. They both do wonders for my beard and smell divine. Personally if you're in a situation like myself and you want something soft and easy to smell throughout the day I would advise against this.
