This was so much cheaper than having to go to the store and buy one considering my chip on the inside of my old key fob did not have to be replaced so all I had to do was put it in to the new key fob and the instructions were so easy to follow I had no problems with it I definitely recommend buying this instead of purchase in it from an auto dealer or auto store or key store because it is so so much cheaper

Do not buy this if you don't already own a set of roll pin punches and a vice or vice grips. If you don't have any punches be prepared for a few hours of work. Check the part number on your existing key fob, it is located on the shell where the key folds into. This review applies to anyone that is using this to replace a key fob marked "13584829" This is a nightmare if you are replacing your OEM key, as it is very likely the original key will be sealed with an adhesive. So be incredibly careful when taking the board out of your original key. The key shape that holds the key in place on the shell is not the same as the original key. So you are going to have to remove the roll pins from both your original key and the blank key to have your original key fit in the new shell. And the included roll pin WILL NOT fit with your original key, so make sure you don't lose it. When you go to put the shell back together, be very careful when rotating the shell to put tension on the spring. After everything is together and the key doesn't flip into place when you press the release then you need to put more tension on the spring. Lastly, I understand this doesn't have the Chevy emblem, but I didn't realize there isn't even a cover included for the screw. So holding the key feels strange

Just what you're looking 4in a key fob!?

I'm going to try and be fair to the seller while staying true to my experience. The item received was as advertised and I was able to use this as a replacement for my partner's key fob after it broke, but if these aren't the biggest pain in the ass to put together. It took over an hour, two people, and multiple videos to figure out how to get this thing together. I don't think it's an issue with the replacement, but an issue with the style of key fob. We ended up half-assing it and assembling it in such a way that the key doesn't retract or extend. Trying to wind the key enough times felt like trying to diffuse a bomb. All the pieces fell apart in our hands several times while trying to get everything just right. SAVE THE SPRING from your other fob. During our attempts to get this to work, the spring got bent and was no longer useable. My advice would be to take it to a dealership and make it their problem, it simply was not worth the trials and tribulations to make this functional. All of that said, the key does work, if not a little loose.

This replacement fob is great and matched the key to my Chevy. It came apart easily but goes back together securely, especially with the included screw. The hard part is getting the old fob to come apart. I had a heck of a time with it, using a heat gun, pliers, and a wire cutter to chop it to bits (which I'm not recommending, as it's very easy to damage the chip in the key.) At least next time I need to replace it, I know it won't be fused together like the last one.

perfect replacement for 2014 chevrolet orlando. swapped over the internal board, battery and key blade from the original broken keyfob. works perfectly

El producto es bueno pero no trae el emblema para ponerle y no se le puede colocar la "espada" de la llave anterior, no me convenció mucho, tuve que hacer un ajuste para poner la espada original pero ahora no cierra, siempre la tengo que tener abierta, creo que deben considerar si lo van a comprar que tendrán que hacer la copia de la espada en la que trae la carcasa, será un costo extra.
