A satisfied customer
I mostly use the the Fitskuad -rope for crossfit. At first the rope felt a bit heavy and therefore taxing on shoulders but quite soon I got the hang of it. The rope is very reliable in the sense that it spins for as long as you yourself are able to spin your wrists. Not all ropes I've jumped with do that. So the rope is as good as you are and you can not blame the equipment for failings. It is very easy to pick up the rope and begin to jump quickly after transitions between movements because of the handle's innovations. The rope does not get tangled up nor do you have to straighten it during workouts like some ropes require. It is ready to go another round almost regardless of how you left or tossed it on the floor. It is very easy to set and vary pace with your rope. And it is very fast if you want it to be. I did tabata du's for warm up a while ago and did 41 du's in 20 seconds for the first two intervals without too much effort. Then again it is possible to do 25 du's unbroken at the same time frame if you want to go slower. The one thing I had trouble with initially was that the rope seemed to get stuck sometimes with heavy use. My layman's observation: when jumping a lot and quickly, the rope, it's rubber/plastic(?) surface more specifically, seems to "warm up" and get sticky and as such it seems to get stuck on my shoes and shorts quite easily. I really can't tell what the reason is but that does not happen in the same manner with the ropes that have a harder plastic surface, even under similar fatigue. One thing certainly seems to be that the rope gets stuck under my Reebok Nanos' carvings and this might not happen with other shoes, say, Nike Metcons. But this problem has diminished by time or I have grown to make the effort to avoid it more cautiously.Anyhow, I'm pleased with the rope and would recommend it to others as well. If I do not have access to my favorite warm up vehicle the Assault bike, I like to warm up with a combination of rowing or running and a du-intervals. On du-including shoulder-intensive wods, my shoulders do not get overly taxed by the rope even though I first was a little uncertain of it.And of course the rope looks good too and the bag is very handy. And the Fitskuad customer service has been great as well.

Wow, I had no idea I was so good at jumping rope!
I'm a 37 year old very overweight 6'5 male who was never very good at jumping rope. I did jump rope a bit as a kid, I was OK at it. I have pretty decent rhythm, despite coming from a huge family of aunts uncles and cousins who clap on 1 and 3 (or who just clap occasionally at no discernible pattern as if entirely unaware that music is playing).About 5-6 years ago I got myself into really good shape, but I never really did much jumping rope. I owned this fat rubber jump rope that was heavy and slow and stuck to the ground when it went around, and I never really felt like I could jump high enough to clear it. So I got a speed rope from some other vendor and the handle snapped after about the 3rd time I landed on the rope, and I was about to conclude "well maybe jumping rope just isn't for me", but I was thinking "no. boxers jump rope. I wear boxers. I need to get better at this."So I got this one and holy cow, I'm actually pretty good at jumping rope! It's light weight, it's fast, it doesn't hurt when it hits you, the rope doesn't get kinked up, and no matter how many times I land on it the handles are solid as a rock. Plus it just looks pretty. I love this thing. Best possible jump rope for my needs.I'll post a follow up in 2 months when I'm built like Sylvester Stallone in Rocky 2.

great at first. It will however ware out.
I've had this rope for about 8 months. On the second month one of the bottom pieces of the handles fell off. I crazy glued and taped the area. It kept coming off. I didn't expect the crazy glue to last, nor the tape but I had refused to give up on it. Also, if your not constantly checking for the little nob and making sure it's not loose it will end up flying somewhere never to be found. It happened to me. I had learned dubs with it, hence the second star. If your lucky you will get one with extra glue inside the handles for it not to come off. After voicing my discontent with this product I was soon contacted by the company and was told that they had an initial bad batch. This lead them to send me a second rope which they assured me was not defective. So far so good and it's been over a month. It feels sturdier and seems like it will take a beating. I would still recommend this rope as it is thinner in diameter while other ropes tend to be thicker and heavier. Thicker and heavier ropes may seem better but will whip you real good and make you bleed if doing a bad spin. Also, heavier ropes tire your forearms faster due to its weight. I'm happy with my rope unfortunately it first came with an initial hiccup. The customer service on the companies part made up for that with a new rope, an additional wire rope (no handles), and a life time guarantee. The rope now is great!!!!!!
