Small and compact
Looks like a good piece of equipment but with the weather being so bad I have not had chance to use it on the course yet. Small and compact

While I don't golf or hunt, I've been using a name brand range finder to accomplish my tasks. The one I had before this one was for hunting and it had too many settings on it. The optics were also dark and almost too small to use with my glasses. The adjustment on the diopter also wasn't very good. I had been wanting to try out a golf range finder instead to see how much different it would be so when the opportunity came up to try this one out I went ahead and ordered one. First thing I noticed was the size. It's definitely smaller than my other one but not too small. This one fits nicely in my hand and is comfortable to hold. The case that it comes with is ok but I didn't like the belt loop portion as it's not flat like most belt cases and it's stiff. The optics are definitely nicer than my hunting one as the image is brighter and the eye piece is larger. This is a huge plus for me as I wear glasses and with this one I don't have to take them off to use it. The numbers are also larger and very clear to view. The two photos I included were taken by holding the eye piece up to my pocket camera (not phone camera). Mode switching is very easy as well and allows you to switch between point to point range or angle compensated range. Both will display on the screen at the same time if you want which is nice as you can choose which one you want to use without having to switch modes. PIN mode seems to work ok. If you're using this for something other than golf the PIN doesn't have to be a golf flag. The mode simply allows the finder to adjust it's range based on the closest object being aimed at when there are multiple targets in the viewfinder. If you are going to use it for golf then point it at the flag and not the hole itself to get a better reading. Overall a very nice range finder which I will get a lot of use out of. The only things that keep me from giving this 5 stars is the case and the fact that there is no rubber coating on the black part so it's a bit slippery. It fits nicely in my hand though but if you were wearing gloves or your hands were a bit wet it may slip out. Use a lanyard around your wrist. A hook was included for this if needed.

This laser rangefinder provides precise measurement of the distance between you and your target on the golf course. It's fast, requiring just 0.15 seconds to make a measurement. It's rechargable, allowing 5000 measurements before needing to be recharged, and water resistant. The device has six times optical magnification for ease viewing your target. The device can measure fairway or putting distance. A slope mode allows adjustment for slope on the course. Pin lock is communicated by vibration. This is a great rangefinder from an established and respected company. The AIM L12 is a midpoint rangefinder from GolfBuddy. The company's top end AIM L20 is capable of tracking shots and communicating with the GolfBuddy GPS app on your phone via Bluetooth.

Overall, this is a nice range finder that is easy to focus and with the Vibrate Alert easy to use. I find the screen easy to read. This range finder is a nice small size, and it fits in my hand well. It is comfortable to hold too. The accuracy seems pretty spot on, I measured a known distance, and it was with in 5' (give or take) over a 450' distance. This will fit me needs pretty good and I am glad I bought it. I would buy it again. 5 STARS

This rangefinder is pretty standard with the features you'd expect like pin lock and slope compensation. It is rechargeable which is ideal. It can be used for golf or shooting. It features 6x magnification and a max distance of 880yd. One thing I did like about this rangefinder is that when using the slope feature, it gives you straight line distance as well as your slope distance (increase or decrease). There is an LED indicator on the side showing if slope feature is on or off. My biggest dislike of this rangefinder is the case. It offers no protection for the lenses which is the main area you want to protect and keep from being scratched. Overall, this rangefinder is pretty standard with a nice slope feature, but the case isn't protective at all.
