Light and strong enogh for lifting a comact SUV. Good lifting height.
This review is for 2 Ton aluminum Arcan floor jack. The instruction booklet that came with the package indicates the product weight as 46.3 lbs and the package weight as 50.7 lbs. It is definitely much lighter than my previous 3-1/2 ton steel jack and it is light enough to easily maneuver it around or for one person to load it into a car trunk for trasporting it. We have Toyota RAV4 and Mazda CX 5 SUV's and their weight is in the range 1.75 to 1.9 ton and the actual weight the jack sees will be a fraction of that; therefore, the jack should be strong enough, with good safety margin and it should last for a very long time. I do not recommend this jack for lifting a heavy SUV or truck. Clearly written instruction was included with the package. I tested the jack lifting my RAV4 and let it stay up for 30 minutes. It heldup. If you need to lift compact SUVs and sedans, this is the optimum jack.

Stable, light and sturdy. We will see how long it last.
I've only had this a short time. I will say at this point it works great. It's SO light. And yes the wheels are metal and has a nice saddle pad. Even though it light in weight its still stable and sturdy. I've been lifting an Avalanche, Tahoe and a Silverado with out any problems.

Works well on a 92 Corvette
Works well on my 92 Corvette. The one thing I can comment on though is the contact disk is quite large. So I am jacking the front end up with the contact point forward of the OEM jacking location (it could crush the floor-pan if I used the OEM jack location and centered it.) The good thing about jacking forward of labeled jack points however is that I am easily able to put a jackstand now in the OEM location. One other observation - the force required to jack the car is a little high - probably because of the limited strokes needed (design tradeoff). But the effort it not excessive and I can do it one-handed if I need to. I like the sturdy construction and it easily moves around on the garage floor when positioning prior to jacking. Makes working on the car much more of a pleasure than before with my old cheaper jack...

Excellent and does what it says it will do
I full-time in my 1968, 29' Streamline travel trailer. I needed something reliable and relatively lightweight to allow me to change the tires on my trailer by myself. (I'm female and in my 50's.) After much research I gambled on this floor jack. I'm so glad I did. I appreciate the carry handles on the jack itself. Although the jack is not light, it isn't so heavy that I can't lift it myself. The cushioning on the lever is convenient and the way the lever fits together is slick and easy to utilize. Storing it is a breeze. It more than managed the job I needed it to do. I only wish that the wheels were larger so that it rolled easier. That's the only thing keeping it from being a five star rating as far as I'm concerned. Yes, I would recommend this floor jack.

The 3 ton is a better deal
I thought I ordered a 3 ton and got a 2 ton. I see the 3 ton is slightly more expensive. Get that one. So far it is great. Everyone comments on light weight and handle. If it stays this way for years it is worth the money.

Best 2ton Aluminum for the price... No other 2ton Aluminum can get you 20" of height
Great Piece of Equipment... I stayed away from the 3Ton because of some reviews, plus i have my 3ton Daytonas.. This 2Ton however is only 46lbs and a Lift height of 20" (I measured it and weighed it) . I got an Erection from this Fine piece of equipment. Fit and finish is solid. best 2Ton Aluminum for the money...Did i say it Looks amazing.... Very sturdy, beefy. Safety first...
