Cheaper isn’t always better
Do it. Go with the name brand. Purchased a cheaper brand set of laces for the Solomon Speed Assault boots and they didn’t fit (too large in diameter) The great thing about these is they are thin enough to fit every eyelet I’ve come across and the ends burn/melt nicely. I’m not a huge fan of the connector(it can be very tight making it hard to snap together) but I’m not going to take a star off for that. If you’re quick lacing anything above a 6in boot these will probably not work for you. Everything else seems like it would be good to go.

Good for snowboard boots
My snowboard boot inner liner lace broke and I also lost the lace lock. I found this kit on Amazon and it worked perfectly for what I needed. Installation took a little bit of manipulation to get the laces through the lock but otherwise straight forward. They are the perfect length for anyone questioning if they work to replace inner liner laces on snow boots. I can’t say how long they will last but seem to be the same quality as the original that wasn’t broken. The lock holds tight. For reference, the boots are Burton.

Cheap replacement
I was excited to replace my torn shoelace on my Salomon work boot. I have had my Salomon work boots for more than year now and one of shoelaces recently just ripped. I replace it with the new one, which was a bit confusing because the instructions on how to put them on and adjust were in a different language and it ripped within a couple of hours of wearing it. I was very disappointed with this purchase, not just because it ripped on the 1st use, but also because I was working when it ripped on me.

Just what I expected, works as they should just didn’t last too long before these snapped and I think that’s just how all these laces are since they’re so thin.

Must have for Salomon hiking/trail running shoes
These are easy replacements for anyone who frustratingly breaks their fancy Salomon laces. Just thread the laces, put through the pull doohicky, trim to length, and tie a couple of knots. If anyone has these type of laces on their hiking or trail running shoes, just pick up this spare set to bring with you on the trip. You’ll be back on the move in no time.
