Make sure you know what you're getting
It's the same, standard valve design, plastic of course, but that shouldn't be held against it, there's only one metal piece, an adjustable nut which is always above the water line. The arm is extendable and well made. The biggest issues with this particular product is the "tap" is too loose a fit. You may have to use Loctite or similar to make it a tighter fit, also more importantly the pin that the ballcock is secured to doesn't work, as soon as a small amount of pressure is applied the entire ballcock will fall off. If this happens while inside your cistern you've got a flooded bathroom. I had to fix something permanently above the pin joint to stop this happening. Finally make sure you have some gripping tools handy, as the arm comes unassembled, but the pins are already inserted, needing to be removed to put everything together.

Just what we needed

Quality budget part
Used these several times at work, easily fitted and adjustable arm length. Screw to adjust damper is usually done up tight but soon releases. Does the job and good as a budget part.

Easy to fit and works well.
I was initially concerned about an all plastic construction but several weeks on in a busy school environment these are still working well. Would recommend.

Flood alert
This morining we woke to a torrent of water coming through the ceiling, the plastic clip that "secures" the ball had somehow slipped off, and the ball float was floating about un-connected to the arm which meant the toilet was overflowing. Indeed the cistern should have an overflow "out" but alas on this 1800's house one was not connected.Do not buy this unless you have an overflow, and even then i'd suggest getting something else.
