Glucose Gel Tube, Grape, 37.5g, 3 Count

I'm giving this a 5 star rating because I'm so thankful to have it and also thankful that we haven't had to use it. A few months ago, my husband gave us a terrible scare. He got up before me and got his coffee. I heard a noise and woke to find he had dropped his coffee cup and could not communicate with me at all. I called my son next door and he was here in a flash. We checked his blood sugar and it was 43. We called an ambulance and while they were traveling 30 miles to get here, our fire dept. EMT's arrived. They checked the blood sugar again and it was 20. He was completely out at that point. They used a glucose tube like this one trying to get his blood sugar up. It came up some, but he was still out. Ambulance arrived and loaded him up for transport to the hospital. He came to a little in the ambulance, but wasn't really out of danger for a couple of hours after they got him in the hospital. He was there overnight and came home fine the next day, but he could have died. I NEVER, EVER want to be without this product on hand. It could be the difference between life and death for a diabetic.

This stuff saved my mom when she had a very low blood sugar. The ambulance came and gave her this to use to bring her sugar up and it worked fast although she said the texture is very strange. I'm not so sure it tasted very good but it does exactly what you need it to do. Saved us in a pinch and now I make sure she has this on her at all times! Seems a little expensive but it works so I'm happy. Easy to use and to store in a purse or bag. Even leave one in the car.

Glutose15 Works Well and Functional. The price was high and now know will go to nearby Walmart that has a similar product for less money & will take that route in future.

Excellent product for low blood sugar‘s. Works quickly. Taste and smell is great. Unfortunately only bad thing was when it arrive package in the box was damaged. Fortunately tubes weren’t.

Invaluable. Keep it on hand when on the go -- in case he experiences a(nother) low-sugar episode. Convenient and safe. Highly recommend this product, especially if your travel buddy doesn't know how to dose & administer insulin shots in an emergency.

Great for first aid kit

Very easy to administer, specifically for brittle Type 1 diabetics. A true lifesaver in cases of severe hypoglycemia. Easy to give to someone who cannot answer or feed themselves during hypoglycemia - the end can be inserted into the person's mouth and the person will instinctively swallow the sweet grape syrup gel inside. Gel is thicker, risk of choking is minimal to zero. Excellent for rapid treatment of acute hypoglycemia and easier on the body than a glucagon injection.
