These bowls are terrific for many different things, but I purchased them to serve whole meal salads in. They are perfect for this use, and deep enough to have extra room for mess free mixing. I can see them doing double duty as a pasta bowl or for any side dish to be served from. They are quite attractive, and the quality seems very good. If there was anything at all to 'gripe' about, it would be the weight. I can see an elderly person needing to be careful handling these, but it probably would not be an issue. I love them, and plan to purchase another set soon!!!

These bowls are beautiful. They're well made with none of the usual problems you get with less expensive ceramics. There are no rough edges or slipping glazes. They're simply beautiful. They're also the perfect size for serving dishes for smaller families. The only drawback I can see in them is that they are not light weight. So not so perfect when my arthritis is flaring up, but otherwise great.

I love these bowls for my ramen! The wider bottom makes them less likely to overturn and they are beautiful! Highly recommend!

Bought 2. Then I bought 2 more. Use them for my oatmeal in the morning. Large enough that it doesn't run over the bowl while microwaving.

These are beautiful bowls! I like them better in person. They’re elegant, and while they are a wee smaller than I imagined, they hold a lot! I just washed them and tossed a huge salad in one. Very pretty, very well-made. Arrived well packaged and a little ahead of schedule.

I love the texture on the outside of the bowl. It makes meals look better. Additionay, both the shape of the bowl and the texture on the outside of it make it easy to pick up and carry.
