Review: A mesmerising tragedy - I wasn’t completely taken in by Dune as most others, but it fascinated me enough that I wanted to try Messiah, and I’m so glad I did. This book is riveting and painful. Herbert’s come into his own and he pulls you into this wondrous, terrifying future and you’ll only be too happy to go along for the ride. Paul’s story was beautiful, and I’m sad he had to endure so much. I’m hooked for life, and will see this through to the bitter end. The spice must flow! Review: A Decent Follow up Book - It shifts focus from epic adventure to introspective exploration of Paul Atreides's burdened reign and delves deeper into the complexities of power and leadership. The novel follows Paul Atreides, now Emperor, as he grapples with the consequences of his rise to power and the jihad he initiated. Herbert's exploration of themes such as prophecy, sacrifice, and the burdens of messianic expectations adds depth to the narrative. The pacing is slower than its predecessor, focusing more on political intrigue and philosophical discourse than action. While some readers may find the complexity overwhelming, the novel rewards those who engage with its themes. The ending leaves readers contemplating the nature of fate and free will. Dune Messiah is a compelling meditation on power and its personal cost.

A great follow up to Dune!
Dune Messiah is the sequel to Dune the classic sci fi novel by Frank Herbert. While the first book has a good balance of action and politics, Messiah has a more slow burn political thriller as we see Paul Atritedes crowned as Emperor and his allies ruling the Imperium and dealing with the enemies. The first Dune Book can be read as standalone but if you really enjoyed it, Dune Messiah is definitely worth reading.

Well packaged and quick delivery
You shouldn't read Amazon reviews for any book as if it's a book review. For that there are sites like Good Reads. I read the first Dune book and I can 100% recommend it in a heartbeat. The first Dune book is a masterpiece. I bought this to continue the saga. Review: - The product was well packaged and came undamaged. No corners were bent and no scratches on the book were present. - Quick delivery as usual. - The cover of the book is beautiful and has a matte finish and is thick enough to not turn into dust while reading it. - Print quality and font size is decent. - Book is almost 60% the size of the first book in the series by same publisher. - Price was very good at ₹560. - Bought from Bookswagon. Overall: Easily recommended to buy from Bookswagon or any other seller here. Just look at the seller reviews before you buy.
