AliMed Comfortable Bed Pan

This bedpan is the best purchase we've made for my mother's hospice care BY FAR. the edges are rounded so it's not cutting her delicate skin. The part at the lower back is flat which makes it both comfortable and easier to place right. The point at the front helps prevent leaks and makes cleanup easier because it acts like a spout to direct liquids into the toilet. There's sort of a flat pocket at the back which makes it harder to spill as you pull it out. It's worked really great.I've added a picture of the way we have been lining it. We use a chuck tucked into the pocket and shaped around the edges, and put a super absorbent pad (also purchased on Amazon- I've been using the Lunderg brand) in to help absorb urine. The only thing you have to watch for is that the chuck can make liquid drain to the downhill corner if not careful. So far, the super absorbent pad has kept that from happening. You can kind of fold the chuck plastic side out and roll it like a diaper burrito (you're welcome for that image).

This is the best bedpan for anyone who is bedbound. I had been in healthcare for 44 years and highly recommend it. So much easier to get loved one on/off and there’s plenty of room for the stool or urine. It’s much more comfortable too.

I bought this bedpan for my mother after reviewing many other bedpans reviews. My mother has been using bedpan for a long time and she finds this bedpan comfortable especially when she uses it for a long time. However she is 154 pounds and the size is a little too big for her. Also there is a soft material needed on the sitting area (maybe silicon so it could be washable) for comfort.

I have bought several different bedpans for my bedbound wife, who is on the heavy side.None of the regular bedpans worked satisfactory.. I searched and found a larger one designed for pregnant women, which is better, but still not perfect. Then I located THIS One, which is still larger, and [very important ] is lower to get on and off than any other one, but we still found it difficult to place and remove it. Therefore we went back to the previous one,and use THIS one only occasionally. I must say there is nothing wrong with this one, and I am glad that it is available for anyone in need.. That it does not work perfectly for us, is No Reason that it can not work for others.

I have a very bad back and was looking for this until I could fend for myself. The idea seemed sound, so I purchased it. The edges are way too sharp and very painful. Unfortunately and this has to be the only bad review I’ve ever done, but I reluctantly do no recommend this product.

Regular liners were too small - a 13 gallon trash bag not only fits well, but is cheaper than regular liners.Mom is 100 and struggled with a standard bed pan - this one is "comfortable". Highly recommend.

If you have tried a fracture pan and find it difficult for everyone, you need to purchase this bed pan. It has been a god send for my family member who is bed bound and on hospice. With 20 years of nursing under my belt I have never found a bedpan that was easy to use and comfortable for the patient until I tried this one!

Very sturdy but too shallow and gets uncomfortable if you sit on it too long . Back of pan Polk's our and hurts me if I try to lean back on it. Made well but too shallow. You sit in wet or poop!
