Great for beer starters
I use this stir bar for my beer starters with a DIY stir plate and I get a nice vortex even with low speeds.EDIT: I only paid about $4 with free shipping for mine, not the ~$23 it is apparently selling for now. It is a nice stir bar (or cube) but I'd never pay that much for it.
