Don't know why I waited so long to try these
I am a creature of habit. I'm resistant to change . I broke my my ( high ) E string and as fate would have it no one had my beloved Ernie Ball regular Slinky's in stock . I suppose I could have ordered the " next-best " option and opted to order a set of higher or lower gage strings but like I said previously I'm resistant to change , so I decided to try some strings that I had always wanted to try but never actually got around to using them. I went with a set DR " Dimebag Darrell signature TNP .10-.46 because they were the closest gage strings to what I'd normally order but mistakenly thought that they might be a little " too Metal " for a '61 Gibson SG . Dude ! All I can say is you have to try these out. I've fallen in love . I tune down a 1/2 step to Eb and it seems that these strings were designed to be tuned low. There is a lovely " sponginess "to the feel . They retain enough string tension throughout the neck without getting too " loose " and making you adjust your instrument's set-up. There is no fret buzzing . They play great , they sound GREAT and I can't find any reason NOT to love them .They will not go out of tune and if my next set plays and feels as good as these do they will be the only strings I will ever use on the SG going forward. I almost didn't write this review ( keepin' em for myself ) but they preform so well I felt I owed it to the fine people @ DR " The Handmade Strings " to get the word out . Can't wait to try a set on the ( Kramer ) Baretta 85 . Interested in how DR's compare to GHS Boomers . Might even try them on my Strat . ***** . UPDATED 1/29/21 I am on my second set and still loving the HELL out these strings . I again took the leap of faith and put the same set on my vintage '85 Kramer ( Baretta ) equipped with an original Floyd Rose. Now I have another difficult decision going forward . Compared to GHS Boomers ( same gauge ) these " feel " just a little bit more solid . The GHS strings are brighter ... but not so much brighter that someone who doesn't have a player's ear would probably even notice . That being said persons familiar with Mr. Abbott's technique know that he " didn't spare 'em ." He played the HELL of of his gear , so I haven't spared 'em either . They actually made me change the way I play . Although the Baretta came with a Floyd I seldom if ever used it . So I dug it out of it's case and attached the bar ; . If your guitar(s) is / are equipped with a Floyd all I can say is put on a set and have some fun .

good god these strings are incredible!!!
at first i thought these were just cheap strings piggybacking off of dimebags legacy. but, being a huge pantera and dimebag fan, i caved and bought a pack. god i was so wrong. these strings shred! you can just hammer on them all day dragging them through so much torment and they just take it like a beast. it might just be my imagination, but the sound i get off of these is incredible. the sustain is incredible. the strength of the strings are just amazing. i just bought 5 more pairs and im re stringing all my guitars with these. mind you ive been using Ernie ball super slinky .09s up till now, but they sounded a bit too tinny, but these, oh man. i can get almost every sound i want, whether im playing jazz or making the walls shake 3 blocks down. these are just incredible. buy these. you wont be dissapointed.

Wrong strings delivered
I ordered the dime signature set with hex core and received plain round core strings. I went ahead and kept them even though they were wrong style and gauge. But I was very happy with them after putting them on and playing. DR makes a pretty good string. I broke the high E yesterday and ordered a set of neon green. They are mediocre so far. But seem like decent strings I guess. I won't buy the colors again. And probably won't have any color left in about a week. The paint is already flaking off after about 10 minutes of playing on them

Quality
Best strings that I personally ever played with. Compatible to the Gibson Ace Freeley signature strings at a fraction on the cost.

The only strings I use
These strings are fantastic for just about any kind of music. I use them on my Gibson Les Paul Custom Lite, and they sound incredible. They give a great classic rock tone, and they also have a major bite for heavier rock. On my Ibanez MIJ RG with EMG active pickups, the Dimebags absolutely scream. Pinch harmonics come out very easily. The strings last a really long time and stay in tune well. My only criticism would be that they aren't the best sounding strings for cleaner stuff, but that's not exactly what they're built for. I still use them for everything. Overall, these are the very best strings I've ever played with.

Rock out with reliable strings.
I've been using DR strings on my electric guitars for fifteen plus years and they have been by far the most reliable strings I've used. They can take a beating and do a good job staying in tune within reason. The tonality is good too.
